Arahim paced the room,busying himself with nothing, as DeShaun continued his argument.

"He should be dragged back here by his beard! He should be made to give us an explanation!"

Arahim paused and considered his friend's words. Though several years his elder, DeShaun had always deferred to Arahim's advice. His current bluster was just his way of trying to make sense of a situation that had become too muddled.

"You should be making ready for Virtue lessons. You have a long day ahead of you, and it is merely the beginning of a much longer road," Arahim replied evenly.

DeShaun eyed him intently.

"Langois should be considered dangerous," he said, "You know this. He is not our brother anymore."

The silence lingered for long moments, as Arahim thought hard on this stark statement. He knew, though unspoken, this was the widely held consensus in Sanctus.

Langois was a traitor, and an oathbreaker.

Closing his eyes, Arahim spoke with unfaltering conviction.

"He is still our brother. He has fallen, and it may yet fall to us, to help him up. Until he does harm to us, I will not think otherwise."
