What is that?
A heavy green mist rushed towards them its strange light blocking out the sun. The two wanderers didnt know what to do they stood watching it move towards them but it soon became clear, very clear what this green mist was.

Grass was turning brown beneath it, a small animal fell immediately to the ground blood pouring from its mouth. They began to run. Their hearts pumped wildly as they ran from what was sure death. The stench of acrid death filled the air as the mist grew heavier and closer. Yet they could not run fast enough, there was no stopping its violent pace. The two fell, blood flowing from their mouths, writhing in agony as pure undiluted poison filled their bodies.The mist seemed to dissipate then as if it was a wave of an explosion that floated off into the atmosphere.

Just up the road she stood her green eyes wide in surprise, her Kryss, The Toymaker, held high in her hand. Shade was astounded, her body had just channeled a fierce mist of toxicity into her surroundings thru the strike of her Kryss. All around her was brown with death. Never had she expected such a thing. Lifting her hand she opened the palm of it staring at it and there within her veins thru the white flesh she saw that which she had not seen before. Her blood no longer ran red...

With her kryss she cut lightly into her arm nicking it only, and surely enough a deep green well of blood arose in droplets upon her flesh. She smiled. All her work, her years of work, had finally paid off. Fifteen years Shade had toiled, struggled, studied and dreamed of the day she would become a Master Poisoner. At last that day was here. There was but one test left, for her, and she walked with happy delight to this monster her eyes level with it.

It had always resisted each infectious strike she poured into it. Yet not this day, her blade swung and the area filled once more with the soft green mist, and the creature doubled over as the lethal injection made its way thru the monsters body. Falling at her feet.

She laughed and licked the blade of the Toymaker, her heart light..

Its time to make some toys...Come Sosaria I know you have missed my little creations..

The image faded in the lantern before him and he smiled, a dark smile, he had wondered when his granddaughter would come into the Vail trait. He had chosen well. Jon laughed a dry long forgotten laugh of triumph..

Eva hovered in the background, so it runs in the family again, that which you chose me for. My mother was the last to weild it... Her ghostly head slowly lowered, not even I mastered this.....She shivered as she saw the glint of renewed determination in his eyes.
