A rush of wind followed K'an as he entered the dimly lit guild hall.
"Greetings M'Lord General", he said with a slight bow to Malo. "I bring news of recent events in Minoc."
"I see", nodded Malo. "Please go on"
"The forces of the Protectorate skirmished with the vile Cappadocian vampires last eve" K'an replied, "but a rather strange thing occurred... or at least it seemed strange to me"
Looking up from his maps and papers, Malo replied," Oh.. How so?"
With a scowl K'an said, "Humans were fighting on the side of the filthy blood suckers and some I recognized as members of the Moonglow Town Council."
"This is alarming news and strange indeed." A dark look crept over Malo's face. "The idea of humans fighting to defend vampires is outrageously obscene not to mention that a guild that has claimed neutrality and honor for so long has chosen an evil course".
Leaning back in his chair Malo looked up at K'an. "Thank you for your report. I will contact The Regent Isk as soon as possible"
As K'an bowed, turned and left the room, Malo sighed. "This does not bode well for humanity and certainly not well for Moonglow." _________________

The wind rushed by Peace Keeper as the blur of MTC flashed in front of him.
Peace Keeper says to himself ,,, hmm? I thought Cappadocian vampires didn't use humans to do their fighting.... thought that they only used humans for feeding on. Then he thought again about MoonGlowians....thinking of them as human not vampires.
Still at loss for an explaination Peace Keeper goes off to seek Lord Malo the Protectorate General with his concerns.
The wind seems to slow as Peace Keeper reaches Lord Malo.
Peace Keeper says "Greetings M'Lord General", I have some concerns of the conflict at Minoc and proceeded to tell his thoughts.
Lord Malo then tells Peace Keeper that he will contact The Regent Isk about this matter.
Peace Keeper then thinks to himself that maybe the Moonglowians could be turning into Cappadocians
and must be careful of them too.....

The information came quick. As soon as Marius caught wind that the Protectorate was planning a strike attack on Minoc, he quickly sent word to Vaen.
There was much on his mind as of late. His wife and daughter had to go to a distant land for the proper care they should be provided. He was left here with his business.
He reached for his weapons and tied on his cape, readying his supplies to head off to Minoc. Many would question his intent to fight alongside vampires. Many look down upon the actions of Moonglow to aid these creatures, but Moonglow knew what they were getting themselves into.
***** Two Months Ago *****
Vaen and Mave sat in the Arcanamach Hall, sorting through the books and getting things ready to start the training of the initiates. Mave slowly looked up at Vaen.
"Are we really going to enter into this non-aggression pact with the vampires in Minoc?"
Vaen nodded. "We are."
"But, they are vampires."
"Don't be like the Protectorate, Mave. Let's look at our options here." Vaen set down a few books and stood straight up, looking at Mave across the room. "On one hand, we have the self-righteous Protectorate, led by a smug ass who hasn't earned a thing in his life. This smug ass decides he doesn't like X race one day, and all of a sudden all of this race needs to be gathered up and imprisoned or exiled."
Mave nods slowly. "Fair enough, but what of the Vampires? They will feed on the people of Minoc."
Vaen shook his head. "No. They feed on their enemies, not those loyal to them. They hold blood drives, of all things." Mave chuckled. "No! I'm serious, they do. It helps quench their instinctive thirst. Also, they do not discriminate. They welcome everyone. And last but not least, let's be honest. The Protectorate is filled with the biggest group of drooling idiots I've ever met. With few exceptions."
Grinning, Mave nodded. "All right, brother. You know I'm with you, thick and thin."
Vaen nodded. "Tonight we sign the treaty."
***** Back to the Present *****
Rallying about three other Moonglowians to aid, they set foot into Minoc. Noticing atleast six Vampires, they, together, amassed an army of atleast ten. Grinning to himself, Vaen walked up towards Necarond and nodded. "This time I actually brought some others."
Necarond grinned. "And I thought only you were coming."
Vaen smirked. "I'm full of surprises." _________________

After making my rounds in Vesper I was on the road to Minoc when the message came that the protectorate had intruded into our lands with a force and Lord Necorand needed my assistance in dispatching them.
Putting the spurs to Lost Rider I hurried to defend Minoc. While racing toward the battle, many thoughts went through my mind; will they have amassed a large army or will this be no more then a wasted attempt by a poorly trained few thinking that having us outnumbered is enough for them to win as it has been, and would the Mortals continue to blame Moonglow for the Cappadocian victories simply because the thought of losing to the Cappadocian’s is unthinkable to them.
As I approached Minoc I know my questions would soon be answered……. _________________ "Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc...
