Won't happen. Majority of gaming studios these days are deathly afraid of the "M" rating. There is a good point in that thread, that the vast majority of parents don't understand (let alone enforce) the ESRB rating system, nor do the vast majority of stores enforce age restrictions based on the ratings the games have.
I think the worry is generally that there'll be some big scandal that makes it to the world news and causes a giant uproar with parents that think video games are the largest or sole reason that there is violence in the world. I could go onto a rant about such idiotic people, but my point is already made. |

Im not so much worried about the players. I just want to chop heads off. and use public executions and such. Atleast Thats where i hope the post would go. Actually i suppose thats a whole nother request. i mean first off we can kill one another, hop on a bed on nails and blead liters of blood. put people in iron maidens. maybe they will bring that stuff back and keep the T rating. Ive got a big list of stuff that was removed and why and what can we do to bring it back at the town hall in california. _________________

Would it really make a difference? I mean, Halo 3 and COD4 are rated M and are ridiculously more violent than UO, but there are still hundreds of thousands of prepubescent little boys littering the game. I personally don't think ratings for video games really make a difference at all. To anything. I never pay attention to them. I didn't even realize UO was rated T until now, honestly. Never looked. |

All MMORPGs or whatever bastardization of the alphabet you want to label your game should be 18+ Because the 18- players will interact with the 18+ players, unless you want the UO kiddy zone. I mean, crimmys would drop off mongbats and having cooties makes an enemy ethereal and random agro but that had nothing to do with anything, I support this.
Ignore Hippocratic statement plz. |
