Brianha had been working diligently on their new home mostly to keep her mind off of his absence but it had been too long since she had had word from him and her worry began to take over her mind. Sitting down at the dinner table with a hot cup of tea she penned a note.

My love I am trying so hard to stay put and do as you asked but with each day passing and no word from you I fear I can only bear the silence of the house for moments more. I worry of your safety and am no stranger to battle. Things must be very chaotic for you to not have sent word. Please if you can spare a moment let me know you are safe. I hear rumors of strange happenings and it has taken all of my strength to sit here and not find out for myself. My love is with you always.

Wrapping the note up with a ribbon she made her way to town to hire a messenger. As she walked she began to devise a plan to go find him herself should he not send word, but she would bide her time for a little longer.
