Tempt watched Scar sleep peacefully in the bed across from her. The moonlit room added an ethereal quality to the surroundings. The memories of their conversation earlier that day kept replaying in her head. He answered more questions for her but also shocked her at the same time, it is an odd place to have to re-learn your past and be told what you should remember. However, it also gave her a rebirth of sorts, she had a whole new road ahead of her.

Part of her really wished to remember who she was and the other part wanted to just become someone else. It was a crossroads of sort, to go back or move forward, inevitability has a way of creeping upon oneself though. More than likely, they would merge and meld. These days here had allow for a lot of reflection and she was able to realize what she wanted. There were a few things she decided she would never do, first of which was to conform or change her ideals for anything or anyone. She would never be forced to compromise her integrity and lastly would decide her own fate.

She had learned a great many things about the Kingdom she served, the liberties she was allowed. Her ability to own property, divorce and marry at will as well as adopt children without the stigma of most societies around her allowed full freedom for her to live life fully and completely. She smiled at that, as she was now a mother by choice and had petitioned to care for a young man from New Haven who like herself, was without parents. With this they will be bonded as they were like souls.

Even if she never regained her full memory, she felt complete and happy. In a way, to not remember was liberating unto itself as she was free to become whomever she wished. yet, from what Scar and Ishtar had told her she was who she was and that was enough for her. Decidedly, she got up and sat on the floor next to Scar. Gently she ran her fingers through his hair as he slept soundly. He stirred a little and settled back into slumber. Gracefully she moved to snuggle next to him. With a soft "sigh" she closed her eyes and fell asleep with a smile upon her face, tomorrow would bring forth new things...

Scar awoke the next morning early as usual, and found Tempt lying next to him. He shook the cobwebs from his head and tried to remember the night before. No, he was not on some hangover, nor could he remember anything that could lead him to believe they had had any kind of "amorous liaison." He got up, got dressed, and went to the Academy's cafeteria to get something to eat.

Elias was there. He took his order for breakfast and set about cooking it up for him.

Tempt soon joined him. She was dressed, but, unlike him, had not donned her armor. He smiled and gestured for her to sit down next to him. "Sleep well?" he asked.

She nodded absently, trying to appear calm, but he knew from looking at her that she was still struggling with her identity; the likes, dislikes, and memories of a forgotten past. He considered their relationship. The past had been a whirlwind affair of love and adventure, broken by long periods of separation due to work and other pursuits. The present was good, but his attitude toward her remained guarded, for he refused to take advantage of her lack of memory, having decided to build anew to let things go from here. The future, he didn't think too much about. Nobody could control it, and no seer could say with any certainty where it might go, or which way it would go. He was content that they were spending time together. It was enough for him, for now.
