Many know, that nearly half a year ago I began an endeavor to create another Grand Library. After months of procrastination and what not, myself and two others finally came together. Halister, Darrien (Adrien) and I spent the last couple of weeks preparing Atlantic for the newest accomplishment.

Atlantic has seen many large library's in our time, one stands out from the rest though. Richard Ebonrune created the largest library in UO History. It was then passed on to another. Now with hours of work, months of preparation and sorting and hunting for books, we've created another Library to take its stead.

It's my honor to announce the The Grand Britannian Repertory & The Philosopher's Rest Social Club. Nearly 1,500 books for our Grand Opening. There will be more to come within the next few months. The Library also contains a museum, some of the rarest pieces on Atlantic. A memorial garden, to some of the most impacted rpers in Atlantic History. And last but not least, a tavern.

The Grand Opening for the Library will take place Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 8:00PM EST. Gates will be provided at Skara Brae bank.

Special thanks to:

Thomas Hunter - If it wasn't for him selling his house, the Library would still be packed in chests and scattered.

Rryn - Thank you for growing all of the flowers used to decorate the Library.

Special thanks to large book donators:

Ceinwyn ab'Arawn
Molly
Isk
Darrien
Halister
Mairsil
Raedyn
Silent Poet
Andrasta
Aalia
Azunda
Toren

(For those that I -may- have missed, just harass me via ICQ. Between the trio of us, I lost track as to where all of the major quantity of books came from.)

Thank you, so much, to those of you who took the time to write personal books, whose soul purpose was to help found this library.

Library Staff:

Beowulf Thormear - Head Librarian
Adrien Garnier - Assistant Librarian
Halister Marner - Assistant Librarian

This is awesome. I've always loved in-game libraries, and this one sounds like it'll be fantastic. Can't wait to see it!

Reminder, the opening is at 8:00 tonight.

For all of you in Moonglow, the Moonglow event will be on for a week or two, so you have time to attend the library opening. Wink
