The scene opens with a man huddled against a building, his garb is dark like the sky, a steady rain falls. An audible rain that provokes the pitter-patter of metal and stone in their respective tunes. As the onlooker approaches, they would note the man has his knees pressed to his chest, shivering lightly.

[Lightning Flashes]

Enter two new figures, one female, the other male, trying to shield the other from the rain.

As they pass, the shivering man watches them as they enter a door, laughing and light spill out onto the street, quickly shut off as the door closes.

[new angle, over the shoulder of the shivering man]

The worn hands of a workman slide into his pocket, retrieving only three gold coins, they rattle slightly as he shivers.

[the man stands and runs roughly 15 feet, the view changed to a low shot, a single foot is brought down into a puddle, which slowly ripples as footsteps are heard growing softer.]
