A letter, delivered by a black raven with a long green feather at its back, delivers the simple folded letter to the Governor-Regent.

Greetings Lord Governor-Regent Adrian Garnier,

I have done my task and served my purpose on this eve, reporting findings of tonight's meeting to Lord Thraxanduril of the Commonwealth of Yew. Should he choose to, he will contact you - however, this letter is sent of importance not from him, but of my own. Though tonight's discussion was valid on both ends, I trust you did not receive my expression nor did I receive your own.

Long have I stayed absent from the realm of politics and nobles, for the treachery buried deep in most is as deep as the Underdark of the Drow. Therefore, to stay clear minded and present with the Wood and Virtue, I have abstained from any active involvement until now. A dark time is upon Yew; the people seek a leader, though not a King. The Commonwealth seeks to establish a new order of government, one free of the deceit of the common politician.

I trust you, Lord Adrian Garnier, to be without said deceit. I trust you, most of all, because I have none other to trust. There is compassion and honor that flows through your veins yet, mellonamin, and I will not stand by to allow these subtle compassions to pass over me or my people. You understand the hardship of the Commonwealth, and the stance we have taken in Yew. Even now, there is grave danger harboring our people - for if we choose the route we are pursuing, the tides of external governments may overwhelm us.

And so it is that I ask of you, Garnier, to spare Yew from further trouble. Let the people decide what is right, and let foreign government remain foreign. Should King Sid prove himself worthy once more, the people will return such loyalty. There is no personal objection to the actions of Sid, save for the inactivity of rightful aid to the citizens, and the objection to a Crown to rule the people of Yew.

There will be no bowing to a crown in Yew by any of the Commonwealth at this time, and as a man, not a dictator, I am certain you shall respect this. One cannot enforce loyalty, unless one will prove its true sinisterness.
