Dear Lord Malic,
I will not use any sentiment as I fell you are undeserving even though I do not remember you, I have heard quite a bit of you. I am full of unanswered questions some to which only you can answer. However your lack of action has demonstrated enough that you need not bother. The lack of memory still does not allow me not to feel, nor express emotion as well as think for myself. I was told we were to wed and that you did respond to the Lady Ishtar but as with your promise to me never met with her. I am also told you are a man of Virtue and to that I feel you shame them.
A man of Virtue would keep his word and promises, he lives his life by them as a code of sorts. He is honest and compassionate. I cannot begin to understand what motivates your actions, but I feel you lack the true meaning of virtue as you cannot be honest, nor do you have enough compassion to even look in upon the woman you asked to marry. There is no Honor in that, as you obviously have none. It seems you fear something, as if you feared nothing you would have shown your face by now. I will save you some time and tell you not to bother. I do not want nor need to hear your feeble explanations. It is not I who made these choices and it is not I who must live with myself.
Perhaps it is time that you decide what it is in life you truly want. Do not think I am angry or vengeful as I pity you more than anything and I have already forgiven you in your weakness. Though I may not remember you or even our relationship, I have still taken the time to send some form of correspondence to you. Do not call upon me unless I am wrong with my summations of you and you are to make good on these false promises of love and honor. Do not write back unless it is for the prior reason.
If you are wondering about the jewels you gave to me, I felt they were better suited as a gift for a young refugee couple I met. They wanted to marry and he lacked the funds to get her a proper ring. I thought it would be best for them to have something so it could be put to proper use. I did tell them, should they you, to thank you and not myself for the gifts. These will be my last words to you unless you can reach within the depths of your soul and make good upon your word. However, I doubt that you will as your cowardice is rather apparent.
May you find Virtue as you have lost your way,
