Dearest Matriarchs,

It is with joy that we inform you of the birth of our son, Shalcross. When the time is right, he will be baptized into the darkness of Umbra. Until then, I remain

Loyally yours,
Merrique

Merci looked over the scroll a small smile playing over her lips, setting it where Ceinwyn would see it she quickly wrote Merri a response.

Merri,

Umbra rejoices in the birth of your child. Children I have always beleived due to the nature of Umbra are our most precious resources.I would like to come and view the babe when you are both fully recovered.

Take care,
Merci

Ceinwyn sat back, pleased, after reading the message.

Lady Merrique,

I should like to see the child and welcome it to Umbra. Congratulations to yourself and Walter. Once more, your dedication and loyalty are proven.

Dearest Merci,

Your kind words are appreciated. Walter and I will be moving to Umbra and making our residence as a family full time there; we anticipate the move to be final within the coming week. It would be an honor to have you come to visit us and meet Umbra's newest male child! A messenger shall be sent when we are ready to receive guests, and if fortune sees fit to bless me, I will see you in or around the city before then.

Yours in darkness,
Merrique

Ceinwyn, my mother in darkness,

It is my fondest wish to receive your blessing for our child. Walter and I will be making a permanent home in Umbra and would be honored for you to visit us the moment the move has been completed.

Gratefully yours,
Merrique
