Dear Mave,

The trip was uneventful as I predicted and the meeting went well. I achieved what it was I came here to achive, and more I believe. Lord Garnier has made steps forward and I can only pray that he will stay true to his word, but he is after all a politician, so I will watch and wait and though you may find it difficult to believe, be patient. He seems open to the idea of trade between the nations, and has made offer to assist in the aide of those in Minoc and Vesper that have been effected by this unjust war. Other subjects and topics were also discussed, but I will speak of those when we are together.

How are things on your side of the realm? I shall be making plans for travel back home within the next couple of days. Is there anything you or Vaen need for me to have brought back at this time?

My dearest Alessandra,

I apologize that I was unable to accompany you on your trip, but due to recent events, I thought it best to begin construction immediately on the barricades around my lands. As for Garnier, I am yet to be impressed by this man, but we shall see what the future holds.

On your return voyage, secure messengers from large suppliers of building materials, as I will need to send back orders. Time is short and I do not wish to spend it cutting my own wood and mining my own ore to use in the construction of this barricade.
