(OOC note- this actually happened a week or two ago... I just don't like writing up stories.)
Dragoona walked slowly down the sandstone road leading around Luna. After regaining her memory, she noticed her friend Zero's eyes had regained their vibrant red colour. Now was the time to approach her, she thought. She could finally persue her own interests again, she could focus entirely on studying and practicing elemental magic. Dragoona lifted her arms behind her head and untied the piece of cloth keeping her hair in a ponytail. She kept her hair tied back so it would not get in the way when she went thieving, there was no need for it to be tied back now. She brushed her now loose hair out of her face with her hand and looked up at the familiar plaster and wood walls of Zero's house.
Dragoona let herself in and walked between a gap in a row of book shelves arranged to offer a small secluded area. As she expected, Zero sat at a table reading a book, still wearing her deep blue hooded robe.
"Hi..." Zero greeted quietly, pulling the hood up so it covered her eyes.
"Zero, we need to talk." Dragoona said, thinking of the best way to get into the conversation, deciding it would be best to just be blunt. "I want to give you your guild back."
"W..what? Wait I'm st..." Zero began.
"You're with them only out of free will, Zero. Your eyes became grayish because of some spell or something Alarin put on you, correct? Your eyes are back to normal now. No one's seen him for some time, is he even still alive? What is it you fight for now if you aren't following his commands?" Dragoona interrupted. Zero thought for a few moments. The Empire was in a definate state of decay, it could hardly be called an empire anymore. Many of the people she knew had disappeared, including the only two followers she had taken a liking to. She hadn't even seen Lord Alarin in some time, everything was being run by Azin who did not seem to care for anything other than brute force. Up until now she didn't question the strength of the enchanted gem she wore that kept her loyal. She pulled off her gloves and slowly reached her hand up to her right ear, where she wore an ear stud with the gem in it. Her fingers touched the gem, it was cool and felt empty of any sort of power. She pulled the backing off the stud and pulled it out, examining it before setting it down on the table.
"So I am free now. I will not follow some mad woman who relies on brute force so heavilly... and why is your hair down?" Zero said, looking up at Dragoona and noticing for the first time her hair was down. It looked rather different, to say the least. Her face didn't look quite as sharp anymore.
"I told you, Zero, I want to give you your guild back. I didn't have the same vision as you but tried to run it anyways. I've got other things I want to do now." Dragoona replied.
"I will run the Society again, but don't forget you're the one who trained me! I couldn't think of anyone more suited to run the guild than you." Zero said.
"You might not see it, but you have surpassed my capability as a thief. I want to leave the trade all together and work on my studies more, you know that...." Dragoona paused and sighed. She then pulled off her red robe and handed it to Zero. "Keep the stories of the red robed thief alive. I won't be needing the robe anymore either... Anyways, I have some things to do. Thank you for taking the guild back, sorry I couldn't do a better job with it."
Zero examined Dragoona as she turned to leave. She looked completely different without her red robe or ponytail.
"You're trying to lead a whole new life now, aren't you" Zero asked. Dragoona stopped walking for a moment and stood silently, looking back at Zero slightly before moving forward again. After Dragoona had left, Zero got up and walked down to the basement where guild matters were handled and began looking through the various papers scattered on the table down there, figuring out where things were now.
After spending some time reading over notes and papers on the table, Zero stopped and took a tally of all the people she would have to contact to see if they still were in this, and then began to write up some advertisements for services the society had to offer.
(Another OOC note: Zero's blue floating name in game reads "Dragoona". I have two characters named that. Zero now wears the red robe. If you aren't clear on who it is IG read the profile. I make it very clear there. As well her guild title says "My name is Zero" and her guild is F0X.) |
