*Harbinger delivers message cannisters to Tarothin Armunn and Vaen Swiftar, respectively*

The letter to Tarothin reads...

"Lord Tarothin,

Greetings,

It has come to my attention that Minoc has rebelled from the Armunn Empire. I have confirmed this by my own sources.

I wanted you to know that I recently sent a shipment of war supplies to Minoc, to Lord Swiftar, and that he received them as a representative of the Dark Order. I do not care that the supplies were appropriated for other uses than intended, but I want you to know that I had no foreknowledge of this bizarre turn of events.

And I humbly wish to inquire what are your current plans regarding this unfortunate event? Do you mean to militarily invest or blockade Minoc? Will you place an economic embargo? Furthermore, is the Empire still viable or will the alliance be dissolved? Regardless, I wish to remain on friendly terms with Dark Cove.

In any event, I do not regret at all our alliance, should it be dissolved. Although Yew was not taken by force, that is no concern for me now. I have set in motion a course of events that cannot be stopped, hindered, nor thwarted by any means, military or otherwise. When I liberate Yew, I shall insist upon keeping ties with Dark Cove as they are.

I look forward to your reply,

Best Regards,

Thraxanduril"

The letter to Vaen reads...

"Lord Swiftar,

Greetings,

I am aware that you have seceded Minoc from the Armunn Empire. Although that comes as a surprise to me, it is not terribly upsetting. Your government is your own affair, is it not? And far be it from me, one who lives to disobey authority and spurn the status quo, to reprimand another man for similar, maverick, behavior as long as it does not unduly affect me, and your actions have not.

If you can pull this off, then I salute your cunning, grit, and resourcefulness.

In short, nothing between our governments has changed. I will continue to do business with you as I already have, if you are willing.

One thing I do ask is what is your relationship now to be with the Regency and the Protectorate? My advice to you is to remain neutral toward both, since you, like me, would not enjoy being ordered about by lessers. The Regency will not connive against you. As a member of that Court, I know their mind and they will not interfere with you. And unless the Protectorate wishes to bring charges against you based upon their warped version of justice, I would venture to say that they will be overjoyed that you have seceded and leave it at that. If not, then they are more arrogant and foolish than I know them to be, and that is considerable.

For your information, I am set on a course for Yew that includes a restoration of the Commonwealth and myself as its Prime Minister. Once that is achieved, and it shall be soon, I will formally recognize your government that we may benefit mutually.

I look forward to your reply,

Best Regards,

Thraxanduril"

Lord Thrax,

Indeed, the Northland Republic is its own affair. We, as it stands currently, declare ourselves an entirely neutral nation, with the exception of the Armunn Empire, who we view as possible enemies.

I welcome you and your nation into trade with the Northland Republic, and hope that we can benefit from one another, and grow, separately, as stronger nations.

My affiliation with the Regency and the Protectorate is neutral, and it will remain so for now. As a new and developing nation, we, the Northland Republic, need to fortify within, before we branch out.

Feel free to visit us at any time.
