Mimus cawed loudly he was not pleased with the task Nyxanna set him on.

He circled gently a tube tied to his large leg, his wings spread wide flapping against the brazen sun.

Like a buzzard he landed neatly hopping about and from his beak y ou could hear him repeat over and over...

Swiftar, Swiftar, Swiftar...

The letter attached to two candy canes read:

Lord Swiftar,
Some ladies send tokens of their favor in form of flowers or hankerchiefs or some other random proper silliness. I however gift you with two highly explosive candy canes. Test em out for me? These two dont explode unless they reach a fast throwing speed. I figured you could find some random irritations to chuck them at!

Mimus snuck into the room, the tube dragging on his leg, he was being quiet and stealthy.

He came face to face with a female wolf. Her eyes, one purple one blue stared him down. She let out a low growl. A moment later in a swirling mist of spells, the small Nyxanna stood before him and she shook her head a small smile on her face.

You didnt find him did you Mimus? Aah well tis not your fault I suppose. This is the first time you have ever failed to deliver a message, but nonetheless I shall reward you, she tossed a dead pixie on the floor.

Mimus was a proud bird, he bristled at the pixie and stared at her, the word failure not sitting well with him. He very cockily turned up his beak and hopped out her door.

Great! now my mothers bird is mad at me, and all to send out a gift. Bah! I wont make that mistake again.
She turned on her heel her purple dress rustling softly as she left the room.

Dear Nyxy,

Your candy canes were a hit! Well... I guess that depends on who you are. And... well... here's the story.

So I received your candy canes and knew exactly what they were. I forgot to pen you back in thanks. In fact, I actually thought that I had, but something must have come up. Apologies.


Anyway! It was a typical day in Minoc. Squirrels running around, birds chirping, and happy citizens about their business. I laughed at the candy canes as I looked over them. Being a hot day, I needed a drink. I sat the candy canes down for a moment and went back inside for some water.

I came back out, and one of the candy canes was gone. I looked around, and there were no kids--THANKFULLY--running around. I sat back down, hoping that it would just show up.

It did.

Over to my right, about ten minutes later, there was a small explosion, and squirrel innards went flying EVERYWHERE! And I mean EVERYWHERE! The tree caught on fire, but with the help of the citizens, I was able to put it out.
