Harbinger swooped in just low enough to deliver a message cannister to Tarothin Armunn in Dark Cove. Within is a letter addressed to him from Baron Thrax.

"Noble Lord Armunn,

My sources have informed me of your recent and overwhelming victory over the forces of Sanctus in Nujel'm. I congratulate you and the Dark Order, though I never held any doubt that you would emerge as the champions you are in this one-sided struggle to preserve and defend Felucca from the rapacious and grasping Trammelites.

I also know that the meagre forces still trying to defend Yew are bottled up in various fortifications, being unwilling to venture far from them for fear of being slaughtered.

I would like to meet with you soon to discuss your plans to further reduce Yew and remove the last vestiges of Sid's reign there. I shall continue to invest the town with my own, more subtle, elements to ensure that your takeover will be complete.

I thank you for bringing order to this region which has long been subjected to merciless taxation and pilfering of natural resources by those who are devouring a land and people they care absolutely nothing for, despite their claims to the contrary. I know you will succeed in the end, for all Felucca is with you and shall unite against them. We shall see to that.

After reading the letter Tarothin's eye shown red with irritation but dimmed down as he wrote a reply.


Baron Thrax,

We are being hardpressed here by the Protectorate. With my soldiers not fully gathered... infact no where near fully gathered yet, we are doing all we can from them pushing into our lands.

We by far have the superior soldiers, but their numbers are starting to weigh heavily in this war.

We may have had one small victory recently but that until I see us winning key battles to push them back, there is not much I can do at the moment to press into Yew.

But worry not. We are far from defeated.

The Baron read the reply and quickly penned another letter, sending it by the same means as the first one.

Lord Tarothin,

I will do all I can to assist you. While Yew is important to me, it is not nearly so important as ridding Felucca of the unwanted insurgency of the Protectorate wherever it may raise its ugly head.

I will be sending supplies to your brave but embattled forces, and use every means, including diplomatic, to enlist aid to the cause.

This war is over the right of a free people to remove the Trammelite yoke once and for all. We shall not fail.
