A small letter is left by a messenger on a table.

My dearest drinker,

Sorry I wasn’t able to make it to our promised drink. Sadly, unforeseen circumstances detained me and I had to deal with such first. Please believe I would have been there if I could have, My business seems to have had a snag, which was promptly taken care of. However, the after effects had to be dealt with and I was up all night doing so. Maybe a rain check?

Another small letter is sent to the High Constable's home, a small blacksmith seal on scroll.

To the constables of Moonglow,

A thief decided to visit my shop last night. Such did rather upset me, I confess. Sadly, my anger made me end the man’s life. I do hope you won’t charge me for murder as it was in defense of Moonglow’s profits. In the future I will try to detain the thieves and let you handle them. This one was just rude and had a knife at my armourer’s neck. There is now a freshly dug grave in the cemetery, so do not fear if murder has been committed and please do not dig it up unless necessary to identify the body. It really was just me.
