An Address to Loyalists and Allies of the Britannian Protectorate

Tonight brothers and sisters a savage attack by the likes of the Armunn Empire and their newest allies, the City of Umbra, was perpetrated on a chamber unarmed nobles and delegations from our allies and loyalists. Also, Lady Ditto Armunn and her “doctor” have vanished amid conflicting reports she died of her apparent sickness or escaped at the hands of the strange doctor.

The Governor-Regent promises a swift reaction to this assault on the Grand Council of the Protectorate. The Governor-Regent wishes to make several statements about what has happened, what will happen and his commitment to the ideals of Virtue.

I. The Governor-Regent wishes to affirm his absolute commitments to the virtues of compassion, honor, justice and honesty in all matters.

II. Let it be known that no prisoner or enemy may be subject to torture, cruel treatment or unnecessary hostility or abuse once unarmed and apprehended. All prisoners are entitled to necessary medical treatment, and provisions for their humane survival.

The following is an address by the Governor-Regent to all loyalists and allies:

“Dearest friends, esteemed allies and loyal citizens of Britannia…the full force of this war began by the Dark Order’s violent assault on Minoc and the northern protectorate is upon is. The early victories in Yew came easy to us yes, but now the full force of the Armunn Empire is revealed, as Umbra flocks to their side.

I ask you to stand with me, to stand with Lord British, and to stand with the Virtues now. We must do all we can to guarantee the safety of our borders, and to secure the freedom of the oppressed. I implore you to not look upon these invaders with hate and anger, for these are tools of Oblivion. We must with righteous justice, honor and compassion do what we must to safeguard Britannia.

The defense of Yew was the first preliminary part of this grand-campaign to rid Britannia of the oppression of the Armunn Empire. We must now begin a push inward, into the heart of their Empire to break the power of this foe with threatens to eclipse us all. If left unchecked their “order” shall spread like a plague, firstly through the land under the red-moon, then through the sacred moongates in Trammel, Tokuno and Malas. Make no mistake, the march with the banner of Oblivion, their intentions are death, destruction decay and a perversion of the virtues.

The sacrifices we shall have to endure to ensure our victory shall be great. All ready the United Alliance and the Kingdom of Sanctus have suffered casualties in the defense of Yew. But, together, united, we mush push on!

Unlike the Regents of the past I shall stand with you my brothers and sisters, swords drawn on the front line. I shall not ask of you anything I myself and not prepared to do or sacrifice.

Together we shall face this challenge, together we shall overcome all adversity, from the ranting of tyrannical Pharaohs to the betrayal of false allies and the horror of Oblivion and the ferocity of the Armunn Empire.

And so in the words you have all used so often within your own ranks I implore you:

Semper Veritas!

Semper Honorus!

Hold Honour High!

May Truth Prevail!

Veneratio Ferocitas Imperium!

All within the Protectorate! Nothing outside the Protectorate! Nothing above the Protectorate!
