As she was working on her translation from the tomes she saw the priest enter her office in Whitehall, "Is all well?", she asked, "You rarely come here."

"Yes, Baroness, Lady Temptation has been returned please give word to your husband.", he said quietly.

"Is she alright? Was she harmed?", she asked him concerned.

He stepped closer, "She is a bit thin and her shoulder still needs care. The information of her memory was correct. I had to explain a bit of who she was to her.", she lowered his gaze explaining.

"I will look in on her after I tell the Baron. Please take care of her, I must let Lord Malic know. Thank you.",she smiled at him and watched him leave the room. Pulling out a clean sheet of Papyrus, she hastily penned a note to Lord Malic.

Lord Malic,

I write you with some news, both good and bad. Lady Temptation was returned and is safe now, though she will need recovery time. However, she lost her memory. A priest is caring for her and will be able to give me more information as to how long these effects will last. You are welcome to see her, but I wished to prepare you for her reaction. She did not recognize people here that spoke with her daily. A visit from you may help, just do not expect her to know you right away.

She carefully sealed the letter and called for Poppy, wen the girl entered, she gave her orders to hire a messenger to deliver the letter. "Advise them to stay and wait for a reply so it may be returned quickly," she told her as she handed her the letter and the bag of gold coins. Poppy took them and bowed, then left the room abruptly.

Ishtar looked at the tomes and rubbed her neck, so much to do and now her friend may not ever be the same. Al she could wonder is what the drow did to her and hope her fiancee truly cared as he said when he met with her and Thrax before, as his lack of response or effort was disturbing.

Malic sat in his office and read the letter that his Deputy had brought forth. Reading slowly and carefully he thought of what he should or could do. He then penned a response to the letter.

Dear Lady Ishtar,

I would like to personally meet with you concerning this matter and the possibilities of my and our next step. Please send word as to when you are available to meet. Thank you for your time.

He sealed the letter not with his usual seal of his office but the seal of the M'real family. He passed the letter on to a messenger for his office and sent him off.
