I apologize for the tardiness of this correspondence. I was busy effecting vengeance on those who sought to abduct my flesh and blood. Still, though, it was not so late to warrant sending the miserable lich, Church, along with his retinue.

I was well on my way to writing you to inform you of our decision to accept entrance into your empire. Even with the whole.. Oblivion thing.

However, after tonight's episode, with the lich lord disrespecting your daughter and later on, even attacking myself, I am inclined to question the wisdom of such a deed.

House Arawn has long been loyal to House Armunn. You are aware of that. I doubt though, that you would have tolerated the display Darrien's followers put on, setting our hall ablaze whilst I was upstairs discussing my decision with your daughter. I had just told her we agreed to join your side, when we came downstairs to the lich trying to incite Oggaroth against your daughter.

There is treason within your alliance.

Umbra remains loyal to House Armunn and the Armunn Empire. We will assist House Armunn alone in the destruction of the Protectorate. We will not take arms against House Armunn.

But we will not suffer the despicable lich. I am sure you understand, and would do the same were you in this position.
