*Fogetting her notes she returns to the empty hall. She looks at the floor by the chair where Martin was standing. She spots a balled up piece of parchment. She bends over and picks it up. Raising a brow she sees it is the paper that she saw him crumple and toss to the floor as he left. She lays it on the table and flattens it out and looks around at all the empty chairs. She spots the note attached to the bulletin board near by. She walks to the board and reads it. She finds a pin there and then tacks up the paper next to the note and quietly sighs. She says the words of recall and returns to the Infirmary.*

Written in a strong hand with an elegant flare.

The Regency was originally founded not only as a stand-in government for our Lord British, who had vanished at that time for parts unknown, but also as a focal point for those who swore their loyalty also to the Virtues Lord British had set down to be followed.

Now, as Lord British has returned and left us again, and has left a government in his place, some ask, why do we need the Regency anymore? Is it not outdated, with this new Council? The answer is no, of course. While indeed the Regency no longer serves one of its original purposes, it is still a highly active voice for those who follow the virtues. The Regency is not a world government, with the goal of bringing in those of both the darkest dark and the lightest light, those who accept all and those who would set themselves above others. Nay, the Regency exists to create a beacon, a hub for those that would follow Lord British’s virtues.

This task, however, is not one to be undertaken lightly. It requires a controlling hand, a central figure that can embody the goals of the Regency. A figure whose voice is heard frequently, endorsing and supporting the goals of such a coalition of guilds. This figure is the Regent. Serving at his side must be capable aids, residing in the positions as his left and right hand, the Chamberlain and the Chancellor. As our government stands now, however, the hands do not operate in tandem, and only the left hand works with consistent frequency.

It is having said as such, that I move for a vote of no confidence in Lord Regent Rufus Oryan, and the election of a new Regent, to carry out the desperately needed definition of the Regency’s purpose in our constantly changing world.

The chair creaks as the Red haired Mohawked man pushes it to the writing table and sits down. Grabbing a quilled pen and dipping it in ink he begins to write a message:

Mayor Martin Willow,

I know it was a very difficult decision on your part to put the future of the Regency and the Community first before that of your friendship with the Regent. By initiating this process you show great personal courage.

When questioned if there was a conflict with your motion with you being on the Regents staff, you showed further courage by resigning on the spot - silencing any critics. This too shows strength and courage in your beliefs and a willingness to sacrfice for others.

I commend you for your courage, valor, strength, and commitment to the future of the Regency.

The old wizards stops and slowly reads the notice.

"Hmm. Very Interesting"

Rubbing his chin, he quickly moves on, looking for a scribe....
