[Roger de Clare]

Emperor Tai Kwan Leap summoned Roger de Clare, Captain of the Free Lancers, to a meeting. He also called Takumi Fujiwara, a member of his personal staff.

He asked Roger to transport Sensei Po from Moonglow jail to an imperial cell. He said Sid, King of Yew, wanted to kill Po and the Emperor did not feel Moonglow's security sufficed to keep Po alive until he could be dealt with for his crimes.

He assured them Moonglow agreed to the transfer and awaited their arrival. Moonglow would hand Sensei Po over to whomever had the Imperial Symbol.

The Free Lancer captain accepted the mission. The Emperor handed Takumi an Imperial Symbol as a sign of their official status. He gave them a few more instructions and the two men recalled to Moonglow.

At the jail, they met Yolen Grath, mayor of Moonglow, and Vargus Vaelstrom, another member of the Moonglow Town Council. Both of these men showed reluctance to hand over their prisoner without bona fides. Roger prompted Takumi to present the Imperial Symbol but Takumi seemed to have trouble locating it.

Meanwhile Sid arrived and demanded the prisoner turned over to him. He also had an Imperial Symbol, which surprised The Free Lancer captain. Still, he demanded Po be given over to himself and Takumi and not to Sid.

Takumi finally produced the Imperial Symbol in his possession. Now Moonglow questioned which of the two parties should take the prisoner since each had an Imperial Symbol.

Roger suggested the prisoner be gated directly from his cell to the Imperial Jail. Then all of them could escort the prisoner. Yolen and Vargus and Sid agreed to this.

At Po's cell, all three escorts were horrified to see Master Po's hands had been removed. Moonglow said it was to prevent Po from using magic or weapons. Roger reflected to himself that was something you'd expect of Umbra or the Dark Order, but not lightbringers.

Out loud he asked, "Why not put a sock in his mouth and bind his jaw to prevent his speaking words of power?"

Someone cast a gate and Po was safely delivered without incident to his cell. Once he was behind bars he turned his sightless eyes towards Roger and hissed something about Xana, Roger's beloved.

Roger asked him what about her? "Do you know where she is right now?" Po asked. "Yes," said Roger. "Is she safe?" Po asked. "Yes," Roger answered. And the blind crazy man with no hands cackled.

Roger ensured guards were posted and other security measures, then he hurried home.

Sid was quite annoyed with the outcome of the prisoner transfer but in order to get Po removed he was willing to have him transfered directly to the jail ,as Po stepped out of his cell ,he blew some dust into Sid's eyes causing his vision to be impaired.The continued tauting by Po caused some tension among the participants trying to transfer him . Sid had much to think about considering Po had asked him how his wife was and considering she has been missing for six months the hate grew inside to the point where he wanted to end Po's miserable life right there.His vision having failed to the point of only seeing shadows ,he makes a trip to Sanctus in search of a healer known as Ivory to see if she can help him.
The trip to Sanctus went well and it was late into the night with his pet leading the way,he actaully ran into Miss Ivory and after explaining what happened she did adminster some lotions and bandages and find someone to help him get back home to rest. Laying in his bed he remembered the last two times he had met with Po and remembering the pain from the first time when Po almost killed him and the glory of the second when Po barley escaped with his life......the darkness now was not comforting but his other senses were coming to life and his training as a samuri allowed him to finally get some rest...
