Orgollree'rean sat in his study thinking about the female surface elf, that his matron mother had been holding for the other high priestess. He chuckled to himself, thinking about how she tried taunting him about the drow social structure. "You are more of a prisoner than am I", she had said. It is true that many males loathe being under the rule of the matron mothers, some join mercenary bands, such as, Bregan D'aerth, some flee to the surface, and some even stoop to following lesser gods like Lloth's son, Vhaerun, whose priest are all male. But for Orgollree'rean the drows social stucture had served him well.

Born to the 33rd noble house, usually meant little, but Orgollree'rean was ambitious, and studied hard during his time at the Sorcere. His thoughts then turned to his medallion, the Amulate of the Sorcere. "She had asked me about this," he thought as his hands instinctfully carressed the spider shaped medallion. He fondly recalled the day it came into his possession. The fastest way to advance in social standing in the drow society, was to remove those who held the positions you desire. It was the former Master of Sorcere who held this medallion prior to Orgollree'rean's possession of it. "He should have expected it, I was his best student, who better to replace him," he said aloud. He was then selected to be Archmage and Patron of the first house of Ched Nasad, House Mayssyssn, the highest ranking male in the City of the Shimmering Web.

He didn't notice his matrons entrance, "How is the prisoner?" she asked, breaking him from his thoughts. "Alive," he said, "You had a visitor while I was there.

"A visitor?"

"Aye, the Matriarch of Umbra," he said, "she said she needed to talk to you about some racist clan of elves."

She nodded to him, "Send word to her, that I will meet with her to discuss this."
