The lamplight was low and it cast swirling shadows on the walls as the shade spun slowly. The light from the fast escaping sun was barely visible along the horizon of Tokuno. The zookeeper, Daz, sat in his room at the Miyabi inn, reading over a list of animals. The list was the order form for the zoo’s newest exhibit. After sending a letter and meeting with the Minister of Wildlife, Daz settled in to the surroundings. He began talking to himself.

This is not going to be easy. Well, we will do what we can. I can’t promise all of these creatures will make it safely to Moonglow. The way to the Zoo from the Islands is treacherous and Moonglow does have enemies. Perhaps, but would they dare attack? I doubt it. The zookeeper had to shake his head violently to get his thoughts together.

Daz would seek the help of as many willing Moonglowians as possible and go acquire the needed animals. The animals would be collected over the next several days or weeks and stabled in Tokuno until they could be shipped by boat. The Empire of Tokuno would even help.

Daz smiled and sighed. The lamplight dwindled and flame extinguished.
