There's a newly formed Regency (easier to say, especially when you have a "Governor-Regent" again), and there's the Regency.
For those of us who acknowledge both governments, what would you request that we do?
Or are the governments going to acknowledge each other? _________________

I shall attempt to answer all of your questions...
The Britannian Protectorate at least, fully recognizes the existence of "The Regency" and had extended to them via their High-Diplomat the chance for political diplomacy.
Over the last several years a great many of peoples and organizations have left the old Regency as it were.
From the stand-point of the Protectorate (and please, I mean no OOC offense to anyone!) the Regency has failed in it's original mission and purpose. Ergo, the disenfranchised numbers having left the original regency have bound together in a new city, and set-out to operate the government as they feel it was meant to be run.
While we do recognize that they operate in several cities, we have found (as in the case of our base of operation, Nu'jelm) they do so in name only, and lack the resources or numbers to police/control certain regions.
We have informed the High-Diplomat we would be annexing Nu'jelm several weeks ago, and have not been told "no" or "yes" by the Regent-Ramses, nor has a military presence been seen to prevent our doings.
Any other questions or concerns, feel free to Q me.
As far as the Regency being established by Lord-British...we would consider the current administration a splinter party of the original group and would contest that upon his return if ever, Lord British would acknowledge us as having upheld the ideals he would have wished us to. |

That pretty much answers it, except one thing. A lot of this has to do with securing land? Not necessarily for power or profit. But to map territories out. _________________

The ARPC-TWP project is an unrelated project.
We have nothing to do with mapping out land.
If you mean securing the land of our members from invasion? Aye, thats a part of it. |

Ive hated the regency since lord british dumped the course of UOaltantics history on our laps and bailed.
I just sincerly hope this protectorate helps get more roleplaying and good plots out there and causes less problems. _________________

I have to say that last night was the busiest RP event I have seen since coming to Atlantic with the exception of a battle. So, yes, people I feel that this Protectorate will encourage and be conducive to roleplay within the community. Let's try to keep Petty Squabbles and OOC BS from doing to this what has happened in the past....

And ya know.. there is nothing wrong with a little destruction if it is followed by productive construction. _________________ "Always speak the Truth even if it leads to your death." - Lord Godfrey |

Perhaps some see this as destruction of the old and as such, something new. In fact it is a re-affirmation of the old Regency that was departed from when certain unsavory people hijacked it for their own purpose.
The constitution being used is the one handed down from the beginning of the Regency. The people of this land were charged with keeping the law of Lord British and they have made what is needed to do that.

ROLF
It's called our character's view points. Tarothin = evil and trying to take over the world.

Well I guess being taken by a evil ruthless demon god who is bent on killing everything in his path suddenly makes me unable to understand.

Taro says it best for me. I think it's Malo that doesn't understand IC concepts. My post was in no way an OOC remark designed to cause drama or tension, but his certainly seems to be.
Please, don't lets go there. |

oh please Ceinwyn it was meant totally In Character..and not some OOC comment directed at you personaly, In fact ooc I find you to be quite reasonable. On the other hand, Ceinwyn is evil..eats babies...etc. I was addressing that persona because you and the others expressed your evil characters in your posts...don't flip flop back and forth between IC and OOC _________________
