Tarothin, I had not thought you would stoop so low but I was wrong. I want the safe return of my cousin, Ivory. She is family and has no other family to rely on other than myself. I know King Talon and all of Sanctus are trying hard to find her. And I can count on many friends, Emperor Tai, Lord Malo, and others. But I also know you count Darrien Church amongst your followers. Him I know him all too well and can not allow Ivory to remain under his tender mercies. Please answer and tell me the terms you demand for Ivory's return.

Now that the missive to Tarothin was done, it was time to write several more.

Tai, My dearest friend,
As I am sure you have heard, Ivory has been taken by the Dark Order. I believe it is an effort to have me surrender control of Mazewood to him. I may not be given any options but to comply. If you were not aware, Darrien Church is a member of the Dark Order. I know what he did to Tatiana and can not allow Ivory to suffer the same. I will try to keep you informed of any communications with Tarothin and my ultimate decision.

Lord Malo,
I know I spoke at the last guild meeting of Tarothin's visit to Mazewood. There are new developments. My cousin, Ivory, the Mayor of Sanctus, has been taken by the Dark Order. Sanctus has not yet located her and the longer she remains in the hands of Tarothin, the more I fear for her. I may be forced to submit to Tarothin's dominance of Mazewood. I will keep you informed of any communications and of my ultimate decision. Please know any decision made is not done so lightly.

As you know, Ivory is my cousin and she has no family left other than myself. I know you have tried valiantly to locate her but have not yet succeeded. I can not allow her to remain under the control of Tarothin if I any way to free her. I have written to Tarothin to ask what are the demands for her safe return. Please do not take this as any slight against Sanctus, but I must do whatever is necessary to secure her return.

We have known one another along time. I know you have offered your assistance to protecting Mazewood. I write to you with heavy heart. It may not be an needed. Tarothin has taken my cousin Ivory and I can not allow her to remain there. I know you are familiar with Darrien Church, he is of the Dark Order. I can not let him hurt Ivory. I may be forced swear fealty to Tarothin to save Ivory. I will keep you informed.

Lord Adrien,
We have never met before but I understand you are the new Protectorate. I am writing to inform you of the kidnapping of my cousin, Ivory. She is just a simple healer who lives in Sanctus. But Tarothin knows I would do anything for family. I am writing so you will be aware of the very real possibility that Dark Cove and Mazewood may be forced to the will of Tarothin and the Dark Order.

I was not the one that took your cousin. I stated no issue of command nor acted in taking her. It interests me to know that you should be in disbelief of my doing this act should I have been the one to do so.

I had come to you offering generous terms. Allow you to lead the area as well as Skara. Allow the refugees to live. To spare many lives and to give them a stronger protection in the harsh lands of Felucca like no other would be able to provide. To be apart of a budding and soon to be great Empire. To prosper and thrive.

All this I had offered you with only simple things in return. To be loyal to myself and the Empire. To adopt our laws and taxes. That was all.

Do not look to me on what had befallen your cousin. Look onto Sanctus and yourself. Sanctus for meddling in afairs not their own such as Minoc as just one of many examples. And yourself for the betrayal towards me, a past brother in arms, and general of yourself. You had spit on my generosity. You chose to ally yourself with known enemies of the Dark Order.

All because of what? Twas not my logic or reasoning, but your bias of what I am. Should that have even made even a slightest bit of difference should I have been human with the words I had said? I think not.

I have given you much time to contemplate my words instead of just sending my troops in without even bothering of giving you any such proposal. Look upon yourself and know that any precieved innocent or person that is harmed in the area that is supposidly under your protection, that it is all because of you. You have done them, and the refugee's that saught your protection, a great disservice. You, have betrayed them and shall know it as they die.

Like I said after being interrupted by Talon and his soldiers that night. This is not over.

Tarothin,
Since the visit of Oggaroth, and his violent treatement of the innocents of Mazewood, I have no choice but to accept the rule of the Dark Order. I can not allow the slaughter of innocents I am unable to defend. Just as he took my cousin, blind and unable to fight, I fear he will continue to torment Mazewood. Mazewood is not a fort but a quiet peaceful village. I will do what I must to insure that continues. I await your arrival at your earliest convenience upon which time I will accept the rule of the Dark Order. May peace reign.
