Zari sat back against the tree just outside of Sanctus. She watched the pixies as they flew about it, as she recapped the events of the evening.

Her father hadn't seemed to overzealous about helping her mother with her predicament. Really, he didn't seem to care. He simply sat there, fidling with his alchemy and experiments. She sighed. She wondered if her father really cared about the family at all anymore. Things had gone downhill so fast.

Her own efforts to try to teach her mother to transform out of wolf form were useless. Nothing she did worked. Her mother just...couldnt' remember.

She had taken her mother into his labratory. As a wolf, she didn't like the confinement, she wouldn't stop scratching at the door. The first potion she tried to make, blew up in her face. A heck of an explosion it was. The second, turned to an acidic solution that melted through the floor.

She smirked to herself, Father sure isn't going to like that once he moves the book that hides the hole...

And then he came in. Dae had acted strangely, not wanting to be anywhere near him. But with a bit of a fight, her father was able to look into her eyes..And it triggered the transformation.

Zari had sat there, listening to the banter of her parents, and she came to a sad realization... Her sturdy family was gone. It lay in a mess. Her father seemed not to want anything to do with them anymore. Too bad. She'd visit him, make him realize he still had one, no matter how much he chose to deny it. However, all she could do was salvage what was left of her family. And that in itself, was to be a task that would take most of her strength.

She sighed, leaning against the tree.

Where was Jack when she needed him?
