As an FYI for people who own shops, be on the lookout for soemone, who is stealthed taking runes. They like to follow people as they drop them from moon gate to moon gate. We had all of ours picked up withing 45 minutes after they were dropped. So if anyone has a shop and drops runes for it and catch them please pass the info along.

A few weeks ago I was talking to a friend who drops shop runes, and apparently he was having the same problem. They also renamed his runes until I mentioned he could just mark on his house as to make them un-writable.

Tell them to mark the rune in the house then they cannot be marked over, this person has been following Kero. Its rude, and is normally some twink in another guild, but nonetheless honest shopkeepers try to look out for each other.

This has happened to us in the past a couple times, it seems our guild gets targeted. I would just hate for it to happen to anyone else.

Yes, there is definitely a problem with rune and book thieves in Atlantic, though whether it is from non roleplayers or otherwise, it is very hard to tell, sometimes.

I suggest red-leafing books.

I actually know of a roleplay guild on Atlantic that steals runes to shops and books. Anyone interested, PM or ICQ me.

I know one of the biggest culprits was BSE, seen the majority of it was non-rp guilds but it's still a nuisance.

It's just obnoxious. I'm hoping it isn't someone being catty and stupid. But then again, it probably is.

I don't think that this is a fit topic for these boards. Due to past issues, this can stir up OLD emotions, and not appropriate for the community. Saying that, the subject should be moved on from.

Thank you Thomas.
I'd like the current issue resolved, if there is one to be resolved. Things from months or even weeks in past are just that, in the past.
She posted it last night as an FYI since i told her someone was stealthing behind me picking them up as soon as I dropped them.

Then that being said, this is how you catch them. First determine if there is a particular time that this happens. Stick to your normal routine, and when they start disappearing, have a stealther there observing, preferably one with Tracking or Detect Hidden... Elf if possible.

I have a body I can provide for that.. has hiding and high enough Tracking to reveal to me hidden people, even those with GM Hiding

Thanks. I have Kero who just has the 10 skill given to humans.
I'll be gone until next Wednesday but if it's still happening when I'm back, I'll be sure to ask for your help.

Hopefully though whatever's going on will be resolved by the time I get back, or if it's an issue with me, whoever it is will message me so I can resolve it.

That being said, Have a happy new year all. Driving to Atlanta tonight.

Alright, I *do* think it's really tacky to go around picking up peoples runes and whatnot, but on the other hand, I also really hate that people leave books and such scattered all over. I see it as littering.

Shopkeepers might wish to consider simply forming a little cooperative effort and various shops could have locked down runebooks offering runes their favorite shops and of course have a vendor set up with runes marked to their own shop, so that customers can easily return.

We do have a book like that in the shop as it is, and any are welcome to use it. Yet, rune dropping helps keep shops going its condusive to business.
