Malic had already left early that morning as Temptation was putting the red ribbons on the announcements. She would drop them off to her courier at the Palace on her way to Papua to be delivered. Her instructions included that they be delivered to the friends and family of herself and Malic.

As he finished reading the missive, Talon threw the crystal goblet in his hand against the wall, shattering it.

Shortly afterwards, messengers were tacking a new notice in the major cities of the world.

Let it be known that the Kingdom of Sanctus and House Skyfire publicly condemns the union of Malic Skyfire and Temptation Waits.

Furthermore, this union entitles Lady Waits to -none- of the titles, benefits, or membership of House Skyfire or the Sanctian royal family.

I think I'll leave this official Sanctan decree up for quite a while. It should keep me amused for a long time.

Malic, what have you gotten yourself into, tying yourself to a woman with a name like that? Sounds like something you can buy in West Britain...

As Thomas reads the notice posted through Sanctus by King Talon, he decides it would be best to avoid hanging out in Hanses for a week or two, for surely there will be some sparks in the air.

She read the decree after returning home and shrugged. Thinking to herself, all she wanted was to marry Malic, she posesses her own titles and so forth as co-regent to Akoris. She knew the Pharaoh and Queen thought far different on the matter. With a smile she headed back to the Abbey.

Ramses was at his desk, working on issues pertaining to the Regency when an attendant entered the room. bowed and announced his reason for disrupting the Regent:"Lord Regent, a letter from the Lady Medjei and a post found in Skara Brea"

Ramses motioned the attendant forward "Ah, lady Waits, let's see what she has to report"

Ramses opened the letter and smiled at the news "Finally she picks a decent fellow" he murmured to himself. and then his eyes moved to the post that was brought from Skara. This made him chuckle softly and he shook his head."Ah ,Talon. Predictable as ever." It amazed him that Talon actually thought he had anything to bestow on anyone that would be considered of great value. His precious Skyfire name being one of them.

He thought about the young man Malic and decided a letter to him would be appropriate.

Sheriff Malic M' Real, Paladin of Justice.

Peace be upon you and all of your house,
I have just received the announcement of the impending marriage between you and the Lady Temptation Waits. It warms my heart to know that she has found a honorable man and a progressive thinker, something lacking in this world.

Unlike your king, I welcome you into the fold of the Hand of Ra and the House M'Real will enjoy the respect due to their station and will have safe travel in any of the Regency held lands and roads.

Being the Pharaoh of Hand of Ra I bestow upon you the title of Royal Herald of the House M'Real to the Hand of Ra.

Cecilia woke up and found the notices both lying on table and her eyes grew wide as she read over them. Why in the world would Uncle Malic be getting married? She didn't think that Uncle Malic really even loved this woman. How could you love someone that was so cold? He didn't ever seem really happy when she was around, not like Uncle Marcus was when Aunt Gwyn was around him. Aunt Gwyn could put a smile on Uncle Marcus' face, but Cecilia only saw scowling when Lady Temptation was around Uncle Malic. She had heard from others that Uncle Malic was even more grumpy when this woman was around, if that was even possible. He had seemed happier when the Umbran matriarch had been in his bedroom... Perhaps this wasn't anything for her to get involved in, but the M'real family still was hers. Sighing and laying the notice back on the table Cecilia recalled that Uncle Malic had told her to avoid temptation... perhaps Uncle Malic needed to take heed of his own advice. She needed to talk to Niall about all of this...

Serena held tightly to her son's hand as they walked through the streets of Luna,"momma you may wish to read this...,"she heard Aaralynn call from the bank.Lifting her son up she moved up to her daughter and looked over the piece of paper,"Interesting...,"she said then looked to her two children,"come along you two...your father is expecting us back before supper...,"she said as she headed down to the market place to get a few things for dinner.

Malic sat and read the letter from Ramses. He was pleased to hear good news from someone on the matter. He pondered and wondered why his own King could not be pleased and what Tempt had done to be hated so.

"Does he think she is a spy," he thought. "she could not be. She has not access to information or plans. She has even told him that she wishes not to know of Kingdom and Family secrets. During her time with him and while living in his home, several battles were planned, meeting been attended and other business conducted. Still she never learned anything nor leaked anything she overheard. So why is she so hated?"

Malic and Tempt both knew that she didn't seek the Skyfire name nor any fancy titles or positions. They just had nice times together and wished to be togetherand were very happy together. Malic was more happy lately than ever before. It was nice that he enjoyed something other than just work for a change. There were never any problems and Marcus and Gwyn accepted her well.

The Baron received the letter and read it. He set it down on his desk where Ishtar could find it later.

"A bit soon, isn't it?" he thought to himself. "Ah well, as long as she is happy I suppose."

He went to tell Ishtar, and later, Scar.

Ishtar saw the announcement on the table where Thrax left it, "She finally made this public.", she thought with a smile. Taking up a quill and papyrus she wrote them:

My friends,

I am pleased to hear of this announcement. To Lady Tempt, I have always thought of you as more family than friend and to Lord Malic, I extend that to you as well and welcome you to this family. You both are welcome in Papua and Thraxstadt whenever you wish.

Do not let those against this union dissuade you in this endeavor, I know you made a good choice Lady Tempt. Lord Malic, you are honorable and just, both noble qualities, stand by your principles and you will overcome anything. Consider this my blessing and may the light of Ra guide and keep you.

Snowden received the announcement of the wedding and simply smiled.

How nice, finally a wedding of simple pleasures. No greed, or one party using the other for titles or privilege.

Snowden pulled out a piece of parchment and wrote:
