Syn sat on the stone steps of the house and looked out across the fens,she had returned home after months and months of being away to find alot had changed. Her nieces and nephews were no longer small and her sister was now on the royal court of the Empress of Tokuno.

"Something out there interesting my dear..,"she heard Gaise say causing her to smile and turn around,"no love...just daydreaming thats all...,"she said as she stood up and dusted off the back of her red kimono.

"You spend quite alot of time daydreaming these days...any particular reason why?,"he asked as he moved over to her and slipped his arms around her waist.

"So much has changed Gaise...my nieces and nephews are no longer children ....Annawen is more political than I remember..and my adopted father is gone..,"she said with a soft sigh.

"That maybe but you cannot dwell on that..its time for a fresh start...here with me...,"he said with a smile causing her to laugh softly,"aye..it is and I plan to stick around this time...no matter what...,"she said then looked over as a gate opened and her sister stepped through and grinned at them both as she slid off her mare's back,"glad to see you smiling again Synful...,"she said then bowed to Gaise.

"Its all in the company Anna....,"she said as she covered Gaise's hands with her own then pulled away to embrace her sister.
