The messenger was met under the archway leading to the palace by a man wearing ceremonial silks and leathers and his mask of crimson

"Citizen Messenger, I shall see to it that the Emperor gets this message. Take this bag of gold as your payment and speak to Abel the tavernkeeper next door to replenish your supplies" Bleys said evenly.

As the messenger nodded and headed for the tavern, Bleys walked through the palace to find the Emperor in the Library.

After Bleys read the message to Tai Kwan he rubbed his beard and his top knot jingled softly.

"This name I know. Compose an answer that of late I have been studying in the library late into the night. He shall find me here then. Sign my name to it and have the messenger carry it back," Tai Kwan said as he then looked down at the book he was reading.
