Having read the proclamation pointed across the towns, Thomas decides to write this Tarothin Armunn. His run in with the Dark Order left much to be desired.

"Lord Tarothin Armunn,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my concerns. I am but an old man, and found the Dark Order lacking. Recently I was set upon for failing to pay travel taxes for using roads built by Lord British. I am but an old scholar, and if this is the treatment we can expect under the thumb of the Dark Order, then I refuse to swear fealty.

I bear no animosity towards the Dark Order, but in my life, I have seen tyranny come and go. I will be here long after this darkness is washed away from our lands by the Light of Truth and Justice.

Know, here and now, that as a free citizen of Brittannia, I have sent my armsmen to join with the lightbringers to aid in showing you the truth of your misdeeds. My home lies on the boundaries of your battles, but is protected from years of fortifying the magics that protect it and my family. Any that intrude upon the tranquility of my home will be dealt with.

May you find the light of Truth and Justice.

Sincerely,

Thomas Hunter
Heralds of Truth"

Thomas rolls and seals the parchment, and sends for a pigeon.

Beowulf stood atop the gates of Dark Cove. He watched, yet another, pigeon fly towards the Armunn keep. The cold chill rushed over him quickly, he could sense the Shadow Wraiths moving quietly..

Would this pigeon be devoured like all of the others?

Mave stood on the roof of his keep, gazing over the treetops. Spotting something in the distance he furrowed his brow, standing and watching the spot as it grew larger in his vision.

Shaking his head with a slight smile, Mave turned to Belegohtar and pushed the dragon in the side, pointing at the pidgeon with his other hand.

"When will they learn..." he said as the dragon lifted off the roof. You could almost see a slight grin on his scaley face.

Quickly the beast overtook the small pidgeon and grasped it in one of its talons, bringing the bird back to the roof. Reaching out, Mave took the crumpled, and now bloody, note from the midst of the mangled, crushed corpse.

Trying to read the parts of the note not covered in blood, Mave picked out bits and pieces of the message...

...thin Armunn,

I would... Dark Order lacking. Recently I was set upon for failing to pay taxes...refuse to swear fealty.

animosity towards the Dark Order... darkness washed away...

...free citizen of Brittannia... join with the lightbringers... your misdeeds... any that intrude... will be dealt with.

Mave chuckled and glanced to Belegohtar, watching a feather float down from the dragon's mouth.

"Another supposed lightbringer's wrath... somehow I am not scared."

Stuffing the note in a pocket of his cloak, he sat back down, glancing over the rooftops of Dark Cove.

"I'll bring it up to Tarothin if I think of it..."

[01:48] Mave: ...what?
[01:49] Deathwisp: you know, the fuzzy... nvm
