To all concerned,
Last night we of the Regency had a very constructive meeting and many ideas and measures were offered or acted upon.
The road to a progressive Regency has begun.
However, a unprovoked, violent act occurred that disrupted the gathering and affected the mood of growing fellowship.
Since I have been with the Regency I have been witness to many disruptions, great and small. All of them are bent on one thing, to gain attention. Not unlike that of a school yard bully or an un-articulate malcontent. regardless of the label one wishes to put on it, such acts are disrespectful and un civil. They also hinder the Regency from doing it's primary duty: service to the people of the Regency. It is for these reasons the Regency has been forced to conduct business behind closed doors in the past. For this we have been labeled as secretive, unapproachable and out of touch. When all along it was not the case. Something this Regent deeply wishes to avoid for it prohibits engagement with the public in general.
So it this Regent's thought that if we are forced to do so it will be up to the parties who created this situation to be accountable to the public and to explain why they have forced the people's Regency to move meetings to private locations and lessen their access to this body. This regency will not suffer the foolish, immature and disruptive behavior of those that wish to hinder the progressive course this body has embarked on. Those that do will have the dubious honor of being labeled,as the public wishes to name them for lessening their public access to their (the peoples) Regency.
We have a grand opportunity to make a change, to make things work, to make a true step in a progressive direction. If you just wish to observe,. then do so . If you want to be heard, then do so. If you wish to contribute, then do so. Be involved. The rules and procedures to engage the regency have been made public. However to those parties who cannot control themselves or who come to disrupt or who cannot act in a mature manner please stay in your lands or you risk to become revealed to the public as such and one who has taken a bit of their regency away from them and have forced their hand.
Yours in Virtue

The Umbran banker brought forth a scroll and smiled timidly. I removed this posting Milady, I thought the Matriarchs might wish to see it.
Merci, opening the scroll, read over it briefly. Merci was no diplomat, Ceinwyn handled most of the *foreign affairs*, however a smile curved her lips.
So there is yet another regent, and she stared at the name unfamiliarly. I know i have heard that before. Pacing slowly back and forth she smiled at the banker, You did well thankyou.you may go..
She laughed to herself and quickly put a large red bow around the scroll and left it on Ceinwyns chair with a note attached:
Dearest Ceinwyn,
Please take heed, as you can see it is most important we not tarnish the noble image that Umbra has come to uphold in the eyes of the lightbringers. I am sure that ones such as us would not wished to be viewed as disruptive or even worse....Evil. Take heart Ceinwyn there is still redemption for ones like us.
Much love,
Merci...
Smiling she placed this precious item down and laughing she left the room. _________________ May destiny guide you... |
