With these words, Ramses. Pharaoh of the Hand of Ra and General of the regency became the next elected Regent. Thoughts flooded his mind and he looked at the chair that the last regent, Lord Porthos. Had just vacated and at the gathered loyalist who now focused their attentions on him. Taking in a slow deep breath he gained a reign on his thoughts as he looked into their faces.

It was never his intention to take on the position of Regent, though it was in the charter of the Hand of Ra to do as he had done in the past, it was logical that he could assume the role. The future was open to them all and he silently asked the gods for their blessing.

One by one the Loyalists pledged their fealty to him, though it made him uncomfortable, he knew it was the mantle of the Regent to bear. It also shed light on that fact that it was up to him to lead these people and the people under their authority to peace and prosperity. Some of which he could say he already started on.

His only worry was that he would be able to do justice to the title and create a legacy for the regents to come. There were many things still to fix and many worries to ease. Many misconceptions to correct and many stands to take for all to see and take note.

After the fealty and all the loyalists were seated, Ramses took a moment to close his eyes and say another quick silent prayer and then sat at the head of the table. He looked at the eager faces of the gathered loyalist and gave them all a quick smile.

"Thank you all, and now...let us begin."
