Moonglow Town Council had just about finished patrols for the evening, when Nigel the Messenger ran onto the field and began flailing his arms about to get the militia's attention.

Good people of Moonglow, It is of vital importance that I get these papers to Magincia! I must have an escort. Will you brave souls accompany me to the front lines of the battle?

The men and women of Moonglow spoke briefly to one another and decided they should help this messenger even though this would be a very dangerous ordeal. The militia gathered what towns people they could and made their way to Trinsic. At the docks in Trinsic they were able to muster a few more war weary fighters to make a push and get the messenger to the front lines. At the docks in Magincia the group met up with others that were just getting ready to head out for the defense of Magincia. The score of defenders walked solemnly through the streets, looking for any signs of life. The city, it seemed, had been deserted. The battle was being fought in the area around the large rift. As the group entered the charred forest, they were assaulted by demons of all kinds. The group fought off wave after wave of demon attacks and eventually reached the front lines. The messenger walked forward to hand the papers to the officer in charge. Just then, a creature known as a Dark Father charged the lines. The defenders attacked the demon. When the dust settled The messenger lay on the ground, clearly dying. With a trembling hand and his last ounce of life, Nigel the Messenger was able to deliver his message.

He had given his life willingly for the sake of his cause. His body was quickly taken back to the city for a proper burial.

The officer in charge began to to read the papers. Screams erupted and the group turned to see a wave of void demons joining the battle. ATTACK!

Blackness soon surrounded the defenders and some were sucked from the battle field by a dark hole.
