When the Warden returned from his night time patrol he was drenched in sweat, from having run so far. He nodded to the sentries at the gates of the compound and quickly made his way to the war room to begin sending missives to those he felt could aide his vastly outnumbered Militia.

Lord Roger De Clare:

I hope this letter finds you well. A darkness has descended on our lands, one that will require the work of many. The Northland Miltia herby seeks the assistance of your group in this up and coming conflict. A prompt response is appreciated, as time is a luxury we do not have. When you contact me, we can arrange a meeting in more secure ways.

Warden of The North

He quickly sealed the small letter, tying it to his hawk's leg and whispering the location to the bird. It took flight, carrying the Warden's letter to Roger.

Roger penned a reply and summoned his eagle Hurin. Tied the message capsule to the bird's leg and sent him away.

Eldan D'Arden
Warden of the North

My lord,

The Free Lancers will be glad to assist you however we may. I can meet with you this evening in Minoc at the bank (I'm not familiar with the taverns there).

The Free Lancers are heavily engaged at Magincia, which as you know, is under unremitting attack by hellish forces. At present we scout more than field troops. Still, we may find some way to help your cause.

Roger de Clare, Captain
The Free Lancers

It was late in the evening when the Ranger returned to the Militia compound. He nodded wordlessly to the sentries on duty and walked into the newly build fort. Roger's eagle patiently waited for him, as he noted when he reached the roof. Which as of late, is where Eldan had found himself. Watching north, towards Vesper.

As he stepped onto the roof, he noticed the eagle there, with a message attached to its leg. Eland walked downstairs, where he would have better light to read. He quickly begin writing a reply.

Lord Roger:

I will meet you at the the location you designated. Thank you for your assistance in this matter my friend.

D'Ardan

Eldan gently attached the note to the eagle, and spoke a few strange words, sernding the bird on its way.
