As a note, this contains OOC breakdowns of the battle, walkthroughs and spoilers. Do not read this if you wish to keep a higher level of immersion and do not wish to have things spoiled ahead of time.

Battle Plan - First Draft

As the event is only active on Test Center, and many details and spawn points are unknown, for now I will post the initial observations, possible tactics, and guesses as to how things will work. As the event is published on Atlantic, I will update this post with the precise plans, walkthroughs, and tactics as they are discovered. For the invasion overview, see this post here.

Initial Strategy

The above map is the current guess of how the spawn zones will be laid out, there may be more than the four listed, depending on how the city is sectioned off.

Spawn Points

The Moongate Zone: The invasion will start at the Moongate zone, all the types of demons will flood from the black moongate onto Magincia soil. If the first wave is not pushed back, the demonic army will spread to the suburb zone. If the wave is defeated, several Demon Berserkers will appear as a final test for the combatants. Once they are defeated, the Moongate zone will be cleared until the next force enters through the gate. The time between invasions is currently unknown.

The Suburb Zone: If the invasion near the moongate is not defeated within a currently unknown amount of time, the demons will push their forces into the suburbs. This zone must be defeated before the Moongate Zone can be defeated, we must fight from the front lines and work our way back. Once this zone is defeated, and the Demon Berserkers downed, the army can push to the Moongate Zone. At this point, the Light Demons can destroy structures and buildings in Magincia, and cannon fire may be able to damage buildings (cannon mechanics are currently unknown).

The Center Zone: If the Suburb Zone is not pushed back in a specific amount of time, the demons will advance to the city center. Light Demons will destroy the primary buildings, such as the mage shop and bank unless killed. This zone must be defeated before the Suburb Zone and Moongate Zone can be pushed back. Cannon fire here, depending on the mechanics, will damage the buildings heavily.

The Docks: If the Center Zone is left undefeated, the armies will push to the last checkpoint, the docks. If the Light Demons reach the docks, they can cut off easy travel to the Island by destroying the Trinsic fleet and the docks themselves, forcing everyone to sail their own boats as the demons fully cover Magincia. Once this zone is fully destroyed, it is permanently gone, the monsters must be pushed back from where the docks once stood and into the center zone if the defenders wish to save Magincia.

Invasion Notes

The Trinsic Fleet: While gate access and recall access is blocked on Magincia, the only way to the island is by personal boat (the demons will burn down your boat, so make sure to dock it) or on the fleets of Trinsic. There is a boat in the Trinsic docks that must be stepped on that will teleport you to Magincia if the docks are still in tact.

The Demon Berserkers: The Demon Berserkers are akin to the Ophidian Berserkers of the Ophidian Invasions. Twisted by the same magic, they have an impenetrable shield that can only be severed with a Power, Vanquishing, or Mystic weapon. A weapon with one of these properties, Power being the least useful, Vanquishing being next, then Mystic being the most powerful, alongside Demon Slayer, would be a formidable weapon against these hulking abominations. The Berserkers move fast and attack everything around them (even invulnerable NPCS!), and require a group of 3-5 players to efficiently take down.

Light Demons: The key to saving Magincia lies within defeating the Light Demons. The Light Demons destroy buildings and objects around them, killing the Light Demons first will guarantee the city does not get damaged, and is extremely, if not the most important thing to remember for the cities defenders.

Cannons: Not much is known about the cannons so far, only that we will be able to fire them, and they have the capability to destroy the demons as well as the structures in Magincia. For the defenders of the city, they will want to avoid firing the cannons on the buildings. It is currently unknown if the cannons have the same permanent destruction effects as the Light Demons.

Other Monsters: Void Demons, Dark Fathers, Demons, Imps, Skeletal Demons and Arcane Demons litter the ranks of the army, I will include pictures of each of the invading monsters, and fill in any important information as I come across it.

Bestiary

Light Daemon: A glowing daemon that moves extremely slowly, but attacks with blazes of fire and light. Any object in the location where it steps is instantly destroyed.

Void Daemon: A dark monster that has several special moves, including the ability to pull players and animals into a blackhole, which does extreme damage and teleports them to a random location in the world.

Dark Father: As with it's counterpart in the Doom Gauntlet, the Dark Father summons monsters by throwing bones, uses necromancy and magery, and moves extremely fast.

Deamon: A standard Demon, does moderate damage and casts spells.

Arcane Demon: Stronger magic than a normal Demon, hand to hand damage is lower however.

Imp: Not dangerous by itself, however the large amounts of Imps can prove to be dangerous as a group, their spellcasting can prove to be fatal if used in groups.

Final Notes

The following is very limited guessing on how the invasion will work, the map may change, the tactics may change, and much more will be added when it is underway. Check back often for new information, and feel free to suggest changes or additions based off your experiences. Finally, don't forget to bring your demon slayers!
