In Edward Teach's post?
Ed, even though it may have actually happened ingame, doesn't make it less of a godmode. For instance, don't you think MTC patrols Moonglow? To say you crept in and then out after pillaging, that is like ignoring they exist.
Wouldn't you rather have roleplayed with MTC or CMC, rather than just in and out and make a post? |

This entire thing smells like another muck fest waiting to happen. _________________ It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. - Samuel Adams |

First off let me state this, Yew has many places to dock a ship and my ship sat, UNLOCKED in a bay right behind the winery of Yew as my crew and myself killed sheep and took food from the farms there, UNDER the cover of DARKNESS, real game darkness, no nightsight equipment was used for these raids so that there was realism in the event, with NO ONE in sight. Also in Skara Brae there are several safe places to dock a ship in plain sight and never be seen by anyone. May I further note that because I roleplay a pirate, My crew and I have watched where MTC and their naval force patrols their island. Also, Moonglow and myself have been roleplaying back and forth, on and off, for a little while now. If the leader of MTC has an issue with my post HE OR SHE should contact me, and not someone who leads a nation that has no sea to sail upon.
And the said sinking of my ship means that my character was assassinated without my permission. Being it was over the horizon from Moonglow means we were well away from land and all our characters drowned because there was no way to land and the fact that my ship was destroyed , which by fact, the Queen Anne's Revenge was the most formidable ship in the Americas at the time. With 40 cannon, no ship would have even posed a threat to her, and the fact that the Queen Anne's Revenge was one of the fastest ships around at the time even loaded. THAT is what I was considering God Modeing along with the FACT that there were NO OTHER SHIPS around on the overhead radar map OR in sight of UOAM.
And YES it is possible to sneak onto or into ANY city, including your Umbra without being detected. I RARELY see ANYONE with an umbra tag at the bridge east of that city.
So your uncalled for "bashing" of something that actually happened in the game it quite uncalled for since it seems that the entire basis of the role play of this Atlantic Roleplay Community seems to be totally based upon words on this Forum, since, sadly my crew or myself never see a single person patrolling the city of Yew, or Skara Brae. The ONLY city I or my crew see ANY type of patrols in or around is Moonglow. |

All I'll add is that maybe this pirate attack will make people patrol their claimed areas better. *shuts up* |

I have no problem with what Ed's crew did in Moonglow. He didn't try to BS his way out by saying "Well we didn't see MTC patrolling so that means they can't see anything." I'm sure he understands that MTC players irl can't be on at all times and spending all of their time patrolling. (Im sure others realize this too, thats why this could be considered godmodding) The leaders of MTC could drag this out and say "That was a BS move you pulled, we always patrol by our wheat and our docks..." etc..
Although I don't quite agree with how they got past the docks, Ed does know IC and OOC that MTC doesn't have a navy. So we don't patrol our sea's. If it was at night, chances are we COULD possibly miss the sights of them. The pirates only stole wheat and made off with it (Thats my OOC sight on the situation. If Beo caught them stealing shreds of grass from Moonglow, he'd beat them senseless)
All in all, I would have liked to see screeny's to juice up the story. I myself (cant speak for Fong) don't mind OOC that they creeped in and took some wheat. But if they tried something outragious like breaking into the zoo, or killing animals etc on the Island, I'd be upset. As for the Yew situation, Yew is waaay too large to keep a complete eye on.
Anywhoo, I don't mind the story. Some may find it offensive. Don't let it get too out of hand though please. Don't try to do too many stealth mission's. Because if you push it too far, I'll have to ask that you do it at a time that MTC is actually online and rping. This way we could have interaction and such. |

The guilds involved have spoken, nothing more to be said here really that can't be said in Q.
Let me add this sort of thing is RPed constantly on Europa were I moonlight and it makes for some great RP when you do catch them.
