|
Maybe you all can help me?
I am trying to rebuild my guild, the Knights of Sosaria, but due my time restrictions (just 3 days a week to play) I haven't had much luck.
Where do you come into play?
The Knights of Sosaria are a generic good guild. Friends to Sanctus and the House of Gauntlet. Not as military as Sanctus, more a fraternity of friends and brothers. A "Good times with good company" guild.
Due to my time restrictions it might be the ideal guild for secondary (alternate) characters. Those that aren't played all the time. *hint, hint* And for newcomer who want to learn about roleplaying first, before they are exposed to the internal twists of a bigger guild.
Just an idea to get this old guild back on track. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs

Have you ever thought about trying something completely different? _________________ As the fire fades to night, remember always the ember that started it all. |

We need a guild that lives in Trinsic for when we attack it. Don't you know that is Ceinwyn's lifelong goal??
How can we do that if you don't??? |

Yes, but I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs

Thats the glory of a public forum. Maybe the responses are an answer in and of themselves. _________________ As the fire fades to night, remember always the ember that started it all. |

Find a good 'number 2', that is your best bet. Someone who you trust, has been a long standing roleplayer and someone who you would feel comfertable leaving your guild to. Trying talking an old member into coming out of retirment, it worked for me ^_^ _________________ It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. - Samuel Adams |

Exactly Arcana.... Your main weapon is surprise and red outfits.. our two... two main weapons are surprise, red outfits and zeal...
Erm...
What I wanted to do is to elaborate why I want to rebuild the KOS instead of joining a new guild. Simply, Sir Robert is KOS. I tried a different guild once (House Daniels) but it simply did not feel right. Sir Robert is simply KOS, his home is simply Trinsic. And he (or I) have an irrational love for that strange grey-purple that Arcana simply hates. *winks*.
Also, (cass and) I own the KOS homes. I own the Wandering Wisp in Felucca, the Elysium Rune Library is on one of Cass' accounts and once Valdor gets his internet he will transfer the tower in front of the rune library to me.
However, an alternate (secondary) character in either Sanctus or the House of Gauntlet are possible. Most likely H*G since Will's player literally gave me the shirt off his back (It's was one of the UO Townhall shirts).
But now comes the second brake.
I just have three days a week (6 days in 2 weeks:(Monday and Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, Thursday and Friday, repeat rinse)) to play any computer games. Be it UO, Oblivion or FSX or whatever I want to play. Starting 9pm til 2am.
Hardly time enough to play one character, almost impossible for two characters without neglecting one.

Yes, that would be the best, but I have no contact to old KOS member. However, a friend that is a great roleplayer is planning to try UO once her laptop is repaired (around the holidays). Her main complains about WOW was that there is hardly any roleplay that you can get into. Of course, getting people who help me was the reason I started this thread. *readies his clue-by-four to smack people* _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs

Good old KOS
This probably won't be of much help, but my advice is to try something new, perhaps a new character entirely. I felt this way with Arcana after a while, because they character developed so much history it became difficult to change her in ways that were both logical and still interesting to me. That can happen to anyone I guess, and guilds too. |

*chuckles*
I think it got a little bit off target.
It's not that I would be bored with Sir Robert or the KOS. I just had an idea how I might get maybe some more member, that's all. Being an one member guild is nothing new nor rare and I have no problems with it.
Anyhow... Thanks all for your input and I might actually add a secondary character into a different guild. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs
