Wisty's face paled, had they all gone mad! Did Toren wish their son to be slaughtered or cursed or brainwashed?

Her eyes closed and the terror in her heart was brought sharply thru her like a knife, she had grown protective of the children beyond that of a normal mother. She had not died so that her son could be endangered perhaps killed!

Her fury raged beyond anything she had ever known and she could barely contain it as they excused themselves to discuss the surprise that had been landed on her.

At last, her fury unleashed Wisty grasped Torens shirt roughly unknown strength swelling thru her. Her words flew with the anger of a banshee and her red hair wailed in the salty breeze of the sea behind them. The waves crashing on the beach could not match the volume of her voice nor mask the outrage within it. Phrases such as *he has only been alive a few months how can learning and training stand up to the experience of Evil* It was as if the earth shook the mountains quaked within her heart and the world tumbled from her view for a moment.

Toren was astonished, amazed at the woman who stood before him. She was nothing like herself. He welcomed Cears interuption, Cear claiming that he felt it was indeed a good lesson for Varrius to learn. Wisty watched him walk away a coldness anyone had rarely seen emanating from her.

After much discussion, she gave in, as long as Varrius was in the care of Cear himself, as she trusted no other to be strong enough to resist the powers of such a dungeon but his godfather. Mumbling to herself she swore Cear would pay if anything befell her son. Yet the father in this case ultimately new what was best for the boy, Wistys protective nature would teach him no lessons but safely keep him sheltered within her embrace.
