Tay sat in his bed running his fingers over the tiny braid in his hand. Ciara’s braid, for some strange reason, seemed to always calm Tay down. He found it relaxing to look at the millions of tiny white strands, tied together to form a single braid. The way the hair shone against the light and the soft touch it had against his finger tips. However, he was not of fond as the girl the hair belonged to.

Lately, Tay did his best to avoid Ciara. Surprisingly he would rather spend time with his sisters than her. Ciara had a way about her that made him want to stick his sword directly through her stomach. The way she yelled. The way she spoke. Oh, and her annoying laugh. It was all too much. The thought of her laughing made him grind his teeth.

”I’s wanna play! I’s wanna fight! You’s tupid Tay!” Her voice echoed in his head.

Girls are stupid anyways and so is marriage he thought to himself. Who’s idea was it anyways to call it marrifie? That silly girl Kelei! She should undo their marriage, but then Ciara would take back her braid. He sat in his bed, completely distraught at the idea that she would demand her braid back in payment for a divorce.

She is half your size Tay and she has a brain the size of a pea. Even if she does demand it back, she has no way of seizing it. Yeah, of course! She couldn’t get it back even if she wanted to. His thoughts became much more encumbered and he laid back in his bed.

I should find a new wife. One with prettier hair and a larger brain. One who can actually speak. One who listens to my demands without talking back. Yes! Once I find a new wife, I can divorce Ciara and then just give her the stupid braid back, because I will have a better one!

A smile crossed his face at this new thought. He stretched out his body on top of his bed and tucked the braid beneath his pillow. He closed his eyes and saw vivid images of Willow’s green hair, flowing around him. The smell engulfed him as he fell asleep.

Ciara looked over at her brother, Korith, sleeping in his bed next to hers. She glanced at the braid hanging from his neck. She fingered her rapidly growing hair and gave a slight sigh. She was all out of braids. She really didn’t mind that her brother had one, as she loved him the more than anyone, except when he was a dodo head. No, her problem was Tay.

She hadn’t known what she was getting into when she got marrified. She has only been two at the time. Now she was much older, or so she believed, and she definitely didn’t like her hunnybend! She was told being marrified would be fun. It wasn’t! Tay was constantly telling her what to do, what to say, saying go to sleep, when she didn’t want to, and calling her stupid! It wasn’t her fault he was a dodo head and didn’t know what an ilharn was. And it wasn’t her fault she slurred her words. She was trying to get it right; her mouth just wasn’t getting it right!

She began to think, moving her hands to watch small drops form and fall quietly throughout the room. She needed that braid back! For some reason, it was part of marrifying. That’s what Tay said anyway. She had to have it to get marrified again! She wanted someone else, but knew he wouldn’t want her because she was too little. She wanted someone big, strong, and could freeze things! She liked Korin almost as much as Nyxy and Korith! Korin also had the prettiest blue hair she ever saw! She gave another sigh, louder to see if she could wake her brother. He just dozed on. She laid down, sticking her tongue out at him, and fell asleep, her young mind thinking only of snowflakes.
