Ok as some of you may know Rob and I went to the UO town meeting in Columbus Ohio yesterday. I am starting this off with some info in hopes it will give hubby incentive to add more to it. Ok seeing how I was half listening..and half looking around the room going..
"OMG I am in fel irl....hope they dont try to gank me.."
Realizing we were in the minority as more than half were pvpers....and trying to figure if any were rpers..if they were who they played and if I knew them or not. Anyways..I did get some things... but not all which is where hoping hubby would step in and give more info. Though we did have trouble hearing some of the questions asked by other players...and when they started talking pvp stuff my mind just went numb...so anyhow...things I DID hear:
Female paperdolls-they now have this almost come hither stance and showing some leg in dresses... ok men stop your drooling.. its only a paper doll.. This is suppose to come out with next weeks patch.
Dungeons-Entrances will look more like entrances than black holes in rock. Not sure when this will come out.
Bags of Sending for house-this was a suggestion by a player they said sounded awesome look into maybe implementing it.
that is about all I can recall... my hubby abiously didn't take the hint of why I started this..so he can add later on..as he is babbling in my ear about it..LOL So anyways just something to make you all wonder and look foward too.. _________________ "Nature gave man two ears but only one tongue. More than half of what was talked about was balance fixes, which they try to do all at once. They said if they balance or nerf one thing, it will become unbalanced with others, etc. So they want to make a good balance all in all first, instead of patching up with bandaids.
Another part was Darkscribe playing with some reds on TC4 (no armor but godmode).
Unfortunately sitting in the back was not quite helpful to hear from the other player, but a few submitted bugs, others asked for balances, more love for mages, and tamer changes.
Worldbuilders are also decorating the dungeons again, making them friendlier. And if I recall right, there will differnt music for different places (much more so than is now on the Legacy client). The idea of using ones own MP3's was written down by Darkscribe.
The 'new player" experience will be finished with a one on one fight with the Dark Knight, which will give a randomly selected nice item.
They will still try to look the map in KR look better, while trying to retain a hand-drawn style.
Changing faces by doing the human-to-elf and then elf-to-human quests does NOT work, as neither uses the KR character creation. FAce change Tokens were half-way promised for the 10 Anniversary Edition.
A lot of more actions are coming in with the next few patches.
And bugfixes and optimizations for lower-end machines. Darkscribe said that the main bottleneck and causes for lag are lower graphic cards. With the next few patches there will be more options in the menu, like shadows on or off... AA and Anisotropic filtering is not planned.
Items in the Legacy backpack view will be made larger, and the backpack view will be scaleable in size.
Chat tabs will be improved. creating a "Guild chat" tab will cause you to speak in guild chat when switched to it, while using a different tab will cause you to speak elsewhere.
SA is postponed and they all concentrate on finishing KR first.
Also, the food was good. And unfortunately we came 2 minutes too late to get a UO t-shirt (damn lag on the I-70) but I got a DaOC shirt and a UO poster.
Thats what I remember at least. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs

I'd hit it.
On a more serious note, that does look much better. Now we'll see if that actually makes it in game. _________________
