Much had changed since her last meeting with Edric. Her spirits were high and she was no longer bogged down by the many things troubling her. Edric had begun a trade agreement with Papau and had also requested to initiate another with Moonglow. She no longer wished to stand back and do nothing as Nu’jelm became a town of ghosts. Edric had driven her to do what was necessary. Edric was the muscle of the operation that Vanya no longer had. Muscle she had not, but she still had life. So long as she had life, she would do all that she could to live on as Alexander wished.

Even with all of this newfound commotion, Vanya would not easily forget a very memorable elven holiday, Wyndervere. Preparations would begin immediately for this elven holy day. Through her life she had celebrated in this festival of the four winds many many times. A holiday to celebrate the elements, in particular the element of air. Wyndervere is called the night of four winds, because legends have claimed that on this night winds blow from all directions at once. Most elves believe that strange events are bound to occur as a marking of Wyndervere.

As she sat down to begin to a list of things need done her mind wandered to her fortieth Wyndervere. A smile crossed her face and she gently set down the pen and meditated in the pure bliss of her memory. She could feel the wind blowing through her hair. She could smell the trees and taste the fine elven wine. But most important she could see his face. Alexander sat before her and she remembered every detail of him. The way his skin felt and his smile gleamed at her. As alone as she was, in that moment she was not lonely at all.
