The small rainstorm was not deterrent upon the Lady's arrival to Yew. Making her way through the greenwood, LaBelle rode the aging steed to the corrals. "I will be a few days in the cit--," her word stammered, she lowered her voice, speaking to the horse woman, "to the Kingdom. You will find me to the Abbey should any need to this creature arise." She finished, patting the beloved steed to the flank. The horse woman nodded, accepting the satchel of golds the paladin woman outreached. LaBelle moved through the wooden edifices towards the Abbey; arriving only when her shirt was soaked through, and her boots groaned with dampness.
The young Blackwind had once served the Lady well with his equine knowledge. She aspired to implore his assistance once more in acquiring and training a stout Yew horse. The horses of Yew were renowned for their resilience, boldness, tolerance and courage. She had found in her beloved Sailong all these attributes and one more, companionship. The horse however, maturing, his life's' span growing shorter; the Lady knew she must find a new mount to carry her weight, and be her familiar.
Uncertain with this new Kingdom ship of Yew, and whether it comprised the Blackwind family, as she was; LaBelle took board to a room within the Abbey. Upon the morning she hoped to inquire about, of the young Aiden Blackwind. If he could not be located or implored to assist her, she would find another with skills to procure a Yew steed. For the night, she set candle to the bedside, and book to her lap. |
