Hiyas I have been having trouble with UO lately. I log in and play maybe a half hour and start getting booted. When I try to log back in I get the message that I am not connected to the internet, which I am.
If I get back in I get to play a few minutes and booted again.
I know a couple other people having the same problem.
Anyone else having this problem or know whats going on?

I'm one of the ppl that Cat knows is also having problems. Also, I will not be on icq as much either, to try to get the smoothest play possible. I'll get on icq once a day though, to check for any important messages.

Are you all in the same geographical area? If so, maybe a server is having an issue somewhere. Or possibly a shared internet provider?

I have also heard that if you are online in UO, and someone tries to log into your account, it boots you, as well.

We need super Kuja/Mithaniel for this one...

I wouldnt worry about it being another account, since it seems like a repeated issue, but more importantly, the fact that it says they aern't connected to the internet afterwards. That isn't a sign of haxxoring.

Does it lag up before you get booted, or is it sudden? Like you are running along, other people are moving/talking, and it just goes 'OOPS DISCONNECT' and you can't get back in? Or does it lag up like mad and then boot you?

it lags, but apparently its my internet....after the big storm my dsl got seriously messed up. it goes up and it goes down.....so sorry to umbra for not being at the meeting tonight and ill try to keep you updated on what's up. hopefully its back up tomorrow.

Funnily enough, some of the old Legion crew has been having the same issues with our ventrilo server, and me with my gmail notifiers. We aern't even on the same ISP, all of us, and it boots for about 2 minuites before being available again.

I blame this on a faulty internet backbone on the east coast somewhere.

Yeah, it really ruins the conspiring about coming back to UO and killing going on a pk spree. Because that's what we do, you know.

when I have the problem I am downloading pics of Ernest Borgnine, so I know why I have issues.

but I have experienced this. I suspect it has to do with two clients running into EA.

well I played for a whole hour last night and didnt get booted yayyyy

Lots of reasons for it to happen I guess especially now that KR is being worked on. I hope this isnt a peek of things to come *pouts*

And I wasnt downloading pictures of Ernest this time.

I knew thats what you guys were doing in that talky thingy room. Planning to take over the world!
