Serena sat on the rooftop and hummed softly to herself then smiled as she felt the twinge of life move inside her,"Easy little one...,"she said as she heard the teleporter sound and smiled as she watched her husband walking towards her.

"Evening love.. ,"he said as he sat down beside her and kissed her cheek gently,"how are you this evening?,"he asked softly as he used his good hand to rub her slightly swollen stomach gently.

"I'm tired love but otherwise good...,"she said as she laid her head on his shoulder lightly,"Is the new nanny not helping you with Varlan?,"he asked as he smiled more at his namesake,"Yes she helps just fine..but I have not been sleeping well since I got with child again...,"she said as Varlan's arm went around,pulling her to his side gently.

"I keep thinking of Aaralynn and Varlan's future...as well as this ones...,"she said as she rubbed her stomach gently,"Perhaps if I spoke to James...he is head of the household...,"she said as she looked to him,her dark eyes showing signs of exhaustion.

"Speak to James later love..right now you need to rest...,"Varlan said as he stood up and offered her his hand,smiling softly with a shake of her head she placed her tiny hand into his and stood up. "Varlan I'm pregnant not dying...,"she said as he looked to her quickly,"remeber what happened with Varlan love... ,"he said as she nodded her head,tears forming in her eyes.

"I promise I will rest once I pen letters to James,Braden and Shane...,"she said as he sighed and nodded,"I'll go on up..I wish to do some reading before I go to sleep.. ,"he said as she nodded her head and kissed his cheek,"don't fall asleep with the candle burning again...,"she said as he chuckled softly,"that has only happened once.. ,"he said as he pulled away from her and headed to their bedroom.

"And you nearly burned down the bed...,"she said with a giggle then disappeared into their study,moving over to the desk she sat down and picked up the pen then began to write,stopping ocassionaly to dip the pen into the ink well.

James,

It is with great concern that I write to you this evening,many thoughts have been plaguing my mind as of late and I wish to share them with you as well as Shane and Braden. I have spoken of them to my husband but not at great lengths I would rather have the four of you together when I do.Please send word when a good time would be for all.

After placing the seal of the house upon the outside of the letter she stood up and stepped into the hall,motioning for one of the maids she placed the letter into her hand and stepped back.

"Make sure this is delivered to no one but James..,"she said as the maid nodded her head and bowed slightly before turning and heading out the door. Taking a deep breathe Serena smiled abit and headed up to the bedroom,praying that Varlan hadn't fallen asleep with the candle burning again.

Penny was putting Jonathon down for his nap. She was in high spirits, though she was missing James greatly. She had a very nice visit with Marcus last eve. She enjoyed reading his story, or at least what he had done. She heard a knock on the door, and moved down the stairs swiftly and with grace. When she opened the door, she smiled to see a messanger, she could see the house emblem upon the wax. She reached for the letter.

Sorry, m'lady, but I was told to give this to no other than Lord James."

Penny sighed.

"Well, you will be waiting sometime then. James is away for now. Please come in and have a seat. Let me pen a letter to the one whom wrote that which was?"

The messanger informed her it was Lady Serena. She nodded and moved to the writing desk. She got out a parchment and a quill and penned a letter to Serena.


Dearest Serena,

A messanger arrived with a letter to James from you. I am sorry to inform you but James is currently unavailable at this time. He has been up to something that he has not informed me of what yet. I feel it has something to do with our youngest son. I am unsure as to when he will return. He returns home late in the eve on some nights. I could either place the letter upon his desk for when he returns, or you may try and resend the messanger once again. I hope all is well. Varlan had told me of the good news of the newest addition that will be making his or her way into the family. Rest well and may this pregnancy be easy on you.

She then moved back down the stairs giving the messanger the note. She then paid him for his time. Once he set off she settled down on the couch. She was enjoying the peace and quiet as she knew soon it would not last. Her thoughts slowly drifted to James and Jonathon..and the birthmark that Jonathon seemed to have.
