In the depths of the Yew Crypts she met with the "Eye". The exchange was short and he offered her a rare reagent to help cure the Lycanthropy if her elixir failed, she knew there was something that caused this gesture. Not made by the "Eye" himself, but the god he follows. The motive was unclear to her. With skepticism she accepted the black moor, but wondered what would the price she would have to pay in the future.
She was all too happy to leave the crypts after the exchange and was quick to don a shroud as she left. A rustling of the leaves of a nearby tree caused her to whirl quickly and a shadow seemed to move. Was she seeing things? She has had very little sleep. After waiting a while and hearing no other movement but the birds and nearby animals she summoned her mount and headed for the moongate and on to Moonglow.
The Lyceaum should have more information on what she sought. As she traveled she still felt as if she was being followed. Her heart began to pound out of her chest. She barely breathed as she made her way through the city and tried to blend in with the locals. After a long while, she dispelled the mount and made her way through all the old and dusty books and tomes.
The candles illuminated the walls in a yellow glow and the scent of wax filled her nostrils. Again, she thought she heard footsteps and froze trying to hear more. Moments passed and felt like hours. The only noise she could hear was the silence of the book lined walls. She decided to continue to the section that was recommended to her. She removed her shroud and turned the corner.
"Find what you are looking for Priestess?" a voice came from behind her. "Do not turn around. I know who you are as does my mistress. I know many things."
"What do you want?", Lady Ishtar asked, trying to stay calm.
The voice laughed, "Be careful seeking out the Drow. Or they will seek you. We have watched you for a while. We know of your bargain and of the Drow you took as a lover.", the voice hissed.
Her ears perked she knew it was a woman and she spun around to face her. Before her stood a drow female in blood red armor. With eyes to match that seemed to pierce her soul. "It would seem you fear much to threaten me." Lady Ishtar spat at her.
A grin came upon the drow's face, "We fear nothing. surface elf. Make sure you keep your end of the bargain. Lloth does not like betrayal."
"Kyorl dosst ooble', ilythiiri.*", Lady Ishtar answered in kind, with a smirk.
"You are full of surprises Priestess. I see you speak our language. This changes nothing." The drow woman dropped a large book at her feet. "If you are so curious about us, start with that. Unless you would like to arrange a trip to the Underdark. I hear the price for you is high in a certain house." A dark globe engulfed her and she was gone.
Lady Ishtar shook and bent down to pick up the large black book at her feet. She recognized it was written in drow. She knew the woman who was there was sent as a warning. If they cross paths again it may not just be words thrown at each other. The information that they had alarmed her. The drow woman was well informed. Too well informed.
She composed herself and went to take a step when her foot hit something. Carefully she picked it up and saw the symbol of Lloth etched on a black blade. Was this meant for her. She put it in her pack with the book and hurried back to the Manor...
