Hail! Are you a fan of poetry? Do you fancy writing it in your spare time? Even stories in poetic form! If you like any of these things, then this is the competition for you!

The Bards of Britannia bring you the "Greatest Poet in the Lands Competition". Entry is simple, winning is even simpler!

If you think you've got what it takes, all you've got to do is write your poem down in a book, and turn it in to the Organizer, Kard Ticklesong!

Here are the rules;
1: The Poem must be three pages or longer!
2: You must have written the poem!
3: Any poems submitted are subject to alteration and publication by the Bards of Britannia.

Simple enough! And here's the best part!
The entry fee is only a mere five hundred gold pieces, and if you win the title of the Greatest Poet in the Lands, you'll win Fifty Thousand Gold Pieces, AND a chance to sign with the Bards of Britannia as a published poet!

To enter, contact Kard Ticklesong at hawk number 69963826

Good luck to all who enter!

Dear Kard,

This is na my submission but merely a sample Please review it and see if it is good and what you were talkin about in your bulletin.
If it is good then I will submit my submission to ya ta be submitted to the contest that will submit the submissions to the public.
If it is na good, then can I be a judge too instead? I promise ta only take bribes that involve candy. And threats that only involve chickens.
If na that then can I just watch and cheer for my favorite poem?

Dun answer right away. Write it down first cause I won't hear it if ya answer outloud just now....cause I'm na there with ya. I dun think I am anyway. ........I am lookin for ya but I dun see ya, but that is probably cause your na here. Are ya?.......
(*at this point the letter rambles on with semi incoherent rediculousness of whether or not Kard is near her or she's near Kard*)

(*three pages later.....*)

Here is my sample:

CAT

I like flowers.
Cat is my best friend.
She is purty.
She has a tail.
She likes ta giggle alot.
She likes cookies.
She has a big tushie.
I like flowers.

The end.

Your pal,
Ditto Armunn

Hear ye Hear ye!

After much deliberation, the Bards of Britannia have decided!

The Greatest Poet in the Lands is Countess Bathory!

Countess Bathory shall receive a Fifty Thousand Gold Piece reward for her contribution, as well as an opportunity to publish this and future works with the Bards of Britannia!

Congratulations to Countess Bathory!

The winning poem follows.
--
Night's Embrace, By Countess Bathory,
---
You came to me one night,
You stole into my dreaming wakefulness,
And vanquished my sanity,
You looked so familiar to me,
Yet your namelessness,
Ate at my emptiness,
The sorrow you beat me with,
Filled me with clarity,
I know you.
Your impoverished essence,
Makes my peacefulness wealthy,
The blackness that follows your footsteps,
Smells of an ancient decay...
Yet it is as of perfume from the Garden of Eternal,
To speak your name just once,
Would be a symphony of razorblades.
----
