He sat studiously at his desk writing in his notebook, bits of ink splattered upon the desk. He heard a soft whisper and he looked up in alarm at the stranger that now stood before him. Silence held the room still for a moment as he gazed into the violet colored eyes and soaked in the glorious red hair of the woman in front of him.
You look just like her…the words fell from his lips like dry leaves upon the ground. Wisty didn’t move her heart was beating at such a pace, she could barely speak. She had never hated with such a passion. I have come for answers, you seem to have the key. Wisteria’s lips barely moved but the words rung out and he stared once more at her as if deliberating.
I owe you nothing Wisteria, however for information I will give you answers. Wisteria looked at him and sighed. I thought as much vile murderer. Jonathan Strathmore smirked and stood beckoning her to sit on a plush velvet couch in his office. She moved towards it and in the most ladylike of fashions folded her silk gloved hands upon her lap.
He paced for a moment and his eyes held hers before he spoke. It really is as if I saw a ghost Wisteria, I thought Violet had come to haunt me once more. How fares my granddaughter? Wisteria was silent for a moment. Your vile creation exists and destroys much like I am sure you wanted. She didn’t want to be here but he was the only one that could make sense out of things for her.
He smirked, actually no I wanted her to reproduce. Wisteria laughed, holding her sides, Nightshade? She laughed harder the affectations of a disturbed mind and Jonathan recognized the twitches of insanity at once.
You know Wisteria, your mother was perfect for my experiment, I had searched long for the right candidate. Then one day I came upon her beneath that Willow tree. From that day on I stole her away and injected her with my serum. Serum? Wisteria croaked looking at him quizzically. Aye Wisty I didn’t just experiment on my son but your mother to, for years prior. It was all calculated all so deliberate…
I injected your mother with phoenix blood….
Wisterias surprised registered on her face, why would you, how could you?
I needed a woman who could turn death into life my dear..
Death into life? Wisteria shook her head in confusion. His face darkened and he stared at her, and then Wisteria, I saw you. I decided to have a backup in case your mother did not survive my plans, and so I began to inject it into her child as well His face twisted maliciously, the young toddler she brought with her some days…
Wisteria was flabberghasted, this had been the last thing she had expected to find out, she had merely come with questions about Willow. He eyed her, so you are most valuable to me as well as someday you may still prove your worth. Wisteria arose hastily from the couch, I will take my leave, I wish to hear no more! You experimented on me! He watched the creamy peach color of her skin go pale, her distress obvious. She hurriedly headed for the door and Jonathan Strathmore cackled as she went. Aye Wisty, so fitting for a druid the power to turn Death into Life. The door slammed on his words leaving him alone once more in his office. _________________ Something is Wrong, I can still feel Existence... |
