Ceinwyn commands it, Umbra has decided Toren.

Merci stared at the faces of the Cabal as they looked between her and Toren. She caught a glimpse of mild amusement in Xandrias eyes, she had to resist the strong urge to wink.

She knew the Cabal, she knew of their goals, she had even spent years in servitude to Toren. Yet times had changed, she was free now, though her freedom had come at a heavy price.

You will deliver my message to Ceinwyn, Merci! His voice was angry, deep, commanding, as she had always known it to be. The suggestion to simply do as he said was strong, and she struggled with it, against it. Yet she would not betray duty for anything and she smirked. You can tell her yourself of your displeasure Toren. It is useless, Umbra will keep it, deal with it.....

In a flash of steel he had drawn a weapon, and was advancing upon her, quickly her kryss met with his and the sound rung out in Castle Blackrock. A surprised look crossed most the faces of the rest of the Cabal but it was no shock to Merci she knew that he was angry beyond beleif....

They dueled for a while moving like dancers about the room, the muscles in Merci's arms crying out with pain, but she would not relent. Toren had made her and he had made her well, there was no poor workmanship here. His creation was a force to be reckoned with...

Enough! I grow tired of this, Toren barked, I must go Cear and I were on our way out.

I will inform the Matriarch of your displeasure, though it will do you little good. Toren strode angrily past her, I shall tell the Matriarch of you failure. Merci smiled as he left and whispered softly, Failure? nay your failure...

This would probably lead to her own demise, she knew this but her loyalty to the Matriarch was unshakeable...

Leaving Castle Blackrock, her heart pounding, she gave into her need to transform, sharp fangs emerged in this wolf like creature the hair on her head turning to fur as she soon found herself looking out of two unfamiliar eyes. It was all so new still, yes indeed, her freedom from the creator had come with quite a price...
